This is Cheryl, Cody's hooman mom. Cody wasn't able to get out and post activities lately. I'm updating you all and I'll post regular updates about Cody. A month ago, Cody suddenly lost his appetite. His brand remained the same. His favorite is the Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula for seniors mixed with Pedigree choice cuts, but one day, he stopped eating unless it was rice and chicken. Still, he vomited or got diarrhea every time he ate.
I brought him to the emergency vet hospital and had blood work. His kidney, liver, and heart are all good. We proceeded to the next step, an ultrasound, where they found a mass on his stomach.
The vet is not recommending surgery considering his age (11 years old). The next step is a biopsy to find out if it is cancerous. However, cancer or not, we only have two options either palliative care or putting him down. I choose palliative care. We aim to be with him for as long as he can comfortably. My heart is breaking...
