This name has been in use and registered for dog training, events and nail trims, the new grooming business moved into town and used a similar name, please contact them directly.
A proposed name for an entity can be similar to an existing name only if the holder of the existing name provides notarized consent. Tex. Bus. Orgs. Code § 5.053.
“What if we just change the spelling slightly?” The Texas Secretary of State is pretty clear about this: anything that will cause confusion in the marketplace will most likely be rejected. Adding “LLC” or “Co.” to the end of a name, adding or removing a space, altering the spelling, or adding one or two letters will not cut it.
