The importance of heavy duty, 6 foot fencing with mustangs 🤣
The HD gate hung 6 ft tall was kicked off its hinges, luckily I had parked the wheelbarrow there last night and it didn't fall all the way down.
The economy blue panel apparently was CRAWLED UNDER?? Luckily I learned this lesson years ago, and I only use economy grade panels for interior division.
Ultimately, no one escaped because this isn't my first mustang jail break attempt 😅 BUT this is why you need to use heavy duty fencing.
(It's mud season, but they have several dry places across their paddocks)

The straw is down and I think they're liking it 😅 saw several naps earlier in comfort 😴

Huckleberry (Devil's Garden) is 11, was only rounded up in Fall, and has only been here a little while. We use mostly Positive Reinforcement here, so sometimes that can take a while (other times it takes a day 😅) but slow progress is fine by us.

Welcome to the Ranch, 11yo Devil's Garden gelding we are calling Huckleberry 🥰 he looks a little raggedy with his winter coat covered in spring mud, but he's coming around. He came to us with one ear, though there's the cutest little nub left on the driver's side.
