A good day in the woods!

We source many of our bones from naturally-deceased animals found in nature, such as this cow elk we found while harvesting firewood.

Did you know? We can blame all of this on goats. That's because they’re believed to be the first livestock that humans domesticated—about 10,000 years ago. Before that, people were basically professional wanderers, hunting animals wherever they moved. But goats flipped the script. They gave us milk, meat, hides, and even fertilizer, which meant humans could finally stay put instead of packing up camp every week. That stability gave rise to villages, farms, and eventually complex societies... and now I’m here paying $16.99 per month for Disney+, with ads. Thanks a lot, goats!

We do custom work!

A customer fell in love with a black-and-gold painted doe skull at Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire, and asked if we could paint a buck skull to match it so that they could display both skulls together on their wall.

Of course we agreed, and here is the finished product!

Someone just left our booth with a $600 wolf pelt headdress without permission - and without paying.

I get the faces I use for these headdresses from an Alaskan Native friend of mine who is a professional furrier. She crafts beautiful winter garments from the body segments of these pelts, and sends the faces to me. I mount them into headdresses for garb and ceremonial purposes.

Needless to say, these are unique and sacred items. None other quite like this piece exists on earth.

I have reason to suspect the individual who stole it is part of the biker/motorcycle community, but it’s really anyone’s guess. The booth was packed, but we did notice its absence within about 15 mins of it being stolen. Site security was notified.
