Paws & Play Pet Care LLC We are a husband-wife pair of local pet sitters with years of experience and a big love for animals. ~About Us:

We also have a few other reliable members of the team who help us out sometimes.

~Bio:
We are active people who love going outside for walks and hikes as much as we love cuddles from furry friends. We have flexible schedules and give your pets the best care. We are both animal people and love giving your pets the best care while you are away.

~Experience:
We have pet sat many dogs of all ages

and sizes over the years and on and off of Rover, from rescues to purebreds, young and old. We can give dogs meds. Marie started getting into Rover while completing her graduate degree in 2019 and fell in love with it! She began on Rover and now we have return clients all over the valley.

~Services:
-Day care
-Boarding in our house (location given privately, but we are near the ACE hardware in Glenwood Springs)
-Sitting overnight at your house

~Pets Served:
-Dogs

-Rodents
-Birds
-Horses
-Chickens
-Open to others, we just need to be taught how to care for them!

~Locations:
We are open to anywhere from Aspen/Snowmass to New Castle, however it is easiest for us to take jobs in Carbondale and Glenwood

~Our Home:
-small fenced in yard
-doggie door
-We do sometimes pet sit multiple dogs but I ALWAYS ask all owners first. If you’ve already reserved us, I will ask you first before accepting another dog for boarding. We ask that you bring a crate if there will be multiple dogs, so we don't have to leave them alone unsupervised until we can trust them to get along great.
-dogs allowed on furniture.
-nonsmoking home, no children
-we don't have our own pets

Your Home:
My husband and I will usually stay at your home together and will try to leave it cleaner than we found it. We pull sheets and get the load started so when you get home, your pets are happy, and you only have to transfer the sheets to the dryer. We consider ourselves great guests and have gotten great feedback from owners happy to come back to a clean house. We are happy to water your plants etc. with instructions. Pick-up/drop off:
We are flexible with pick-up/drop off times. If you're running late, just let us know and we can usually accommodate. The one thing to take note of is that I work a hybrid schedule at a center for kids with autism, and my husband works a job where he must be on site while working. Although much of my work is done on the computer, I am a supervisor and there may be a time where I have committed to being home for a pick up or drop off, but last-minute might need to cover for a sick staff, or go on site to assist with a crisis. In the event that neither my husband or I are home for pick-up or drop off, we have a door code and can let you into the house if needed. Prices: Please visit our website for more information. Referral Discount: If you give our number to a friend and they end up booking with us, you and your friend both get $20 off your next booking! There is no limit to number of referrals.

🐾 Love dogs and looking for flexible, occasional extra income? Paws & Play Pet Care in Glenwood Springs is looking for a few dependable people interested in providing occasional dog-care coverage as independent contractors.
There is no required schedule or minimum availability. When we need help for a vacation, appointment, weekend, evening, etc., we send out the dates/times & responsibilities. You decide whether you’d like to accept each opportunity.
All of the dogs come to our home, so there’s no driving from client house to client house. Coverage might be a few hours, a full day, overnight, or occasionally several days.
Responsibilities may include:
• Greeting clients during drop-offs and pickups
• Supervising dogs in the house and fenced yard
• Feeding meals and giving medications using our detailed care instructions
• Monitoring play, cleaning up after dogs, and keeping everyone safe
• Optional walks if you're comfortable—we provide all equipment and also use GPS trackers for peace of mind.

This could be a particularly good fit for someone who works remotely and can work from our house during quieter portions of the day, someone with flexible weekends/evenings, or simply someone who loves dogs and wants occasional extra work.
Dog-care experience is a plus but not required; we provide a property and safety orientation and detailed information about the dogs and setup.
Compensation varies based on the length and responsibilities. Currently, minimum base compensation for shorter daytime coverage is generally around $25-30 for about 1 hour, with the amount per hour changing based on the length of the coverage, with longer/overnight assignments and walks compensated differently. Covering overnights can often pay hundreds when we have multiple dogs here.
There’s no obligation to accept an opportunity — but if you do accept one, reliability is extremely important because clients are counting on us to care for their pets.
