‼️Please keep in mind your animals don’t belong outside for long periods of time with this kind of air quality… it’s getting worse out here and you can actually smell the fires now! Keep them hydrated and only outside to use the bathroom!

🔥🐾 CONNECTICUT HEAT WAVE ALERT 🐾🔥

Dangerous heat is expected across Connecticut Tuesday & Wednesday, with heat index values reaching 100–103°F.

Please help keep your dogs safe during this extreme heat:

🐶 Walk your dog early in the morning or later in the evening.
💧 Always bring plenty of fresh water.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade.
🔥 Remember: If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute.

Heat stroke can happen quickly and is a life-threatening emergency.

‼️KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE- STAY OFF THE PAVEMENT‼️🐾

Your dog could get hurt taking it for a walk on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoon. The pavement in these conditions could exceed 140°.

Dog safety is my number one priority! Visits will be limited to bathroom breaks and indoor play during this heat wave!☀️

Nobody should be out walking the dog on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon. The heat index is expected to be near 100°.

Keep your pets indoors and hydrated, especially during the hottest part of the day (10am-6pm).
