New Life for Paws Foundation We are a nonprofit animal rescue that saves stray, neglected, and abandoned Aruban dogs. We are a proud member of the Caribbean Rescue Coalition.

Created from the passion and determination of our founding member Natalya Yermak, New Life for Paws’ mission is to rescue as many stray, neglected, and abandoned Aruban dogs as possible while also advocating for spay/neuter programs to reduce the overwhelming amount of street dogs on the island. We provide shelter, food, and veterinary treatment for each of the rescues save. Everything our small b

🧡 Marli loves the outdoors!!! She takes a lot of her cues from her foster dog sister and foster dad so she has even been off leash on trails in the woods, by the river, beaches, and the backyard many times!

🧡 A confident patient older doggy for a playmate would be a plus!
🧡 Non-urban relaxed home, city life isn’t her ideal. (Loud noise, and rowdy young kids/crowds of pushy people no thanks.)
🧡 At just seven months, Marli loves her toys— of all kinds! Puppy playtime!
🧡 Humans to kiss, snuggle, and guide her to feel safe in new environments!

All of our rescue puppies are fostered in loving homes until they find their forever family. We have amazing fosters who we appreciate soooo much 🥰

Below is what Marli’s foster dad wrote about her yesterday. He’s helped Marli so much with gaining her confidence. All she needs now is a family that will keep building on what he’s started with her. Marli would love a home with another confident dog and one that will continue to give her an adventurous life (hikes, swimming etc) This girl is going to shine in the perfect home ✨

“These are my thoughts on Marli. She’s a WONDERFUL dog. Loving , funny, can be very friendly. She loves life, yes it’s a little scary for her. That’s not going to stop her though. We love her. Someone will see thru her difficulties, her fears and love her too. Look at her pictures. This dog isn’t cowering in the corner. She loves walks, loves going to tractor supply, loves playing, loves running, loves nap times, loves seeing new things,loves being with me! She’s really trying to overcome her fears. She goes up to people, strangers, tail wagging, does her sniff,some get licks. She may back away, but but but, she keeps going back for more. She loves dogs that aren’t overbearing, so it isn’t the dog she’s afraid of, it’s their behavior. Again she trying to overcome that too. She wants to play, , she’s on the verge of overcoming this. I know someone will see her for the wonderful dog she’s becoming”

Six years ago two beautiful sisters named Mika and Lucie made the journey from Aruba to America ❤️ They were adopted TOGETHER into a beautiful home with a mommy and daddy who adored them. They had a wonderful life and most importantly they had each other ❤️

Then the unthinkable happened 💔 Mika and Lucie lost BOTH their mommy and their daddy 😢 Their whole world disappeared and they were left orphaned and heartbroken. Friends of the family took them in temporarily but they absolutely cannot keep them and we only have a couple of weeks to find somewhere for these girls to go.

If we cannot find a foster or adopter they will end up in a shelter 💔 I CANNOT LET THAT HAPPEN!!! And one thing is absolutely NOT negotiable. THEY MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST STAY TOGETHER!!! ❤️❤️ They already lost their mommy and daddy and their home. THEY CANNOT LOSE EACH OTHER TOO!!! They adore each other and they are each other’s comfort and security. We will NOT separate them 💔

Mika and Lucie are both incredibly sweet and friendly. 6 years old spayed up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. They can be a little shy and skittish at first but they love hugs and cuddles ❤️ They are good with other dogs although they mostly keep their distance and peacefully coexist. They have also been around young children and did very well. We do not know about cats. They are in RI and can be moved for a foster or forever home 🏡

Someone was kind enough to go spend time with them and take these beautiful pictures so everyone could finally SEE these precious girls ❤️ Please look at their faces and imagine how confused they must be. They did nothing wrong. Their whole world simply disappeared 💔😢

We are looking for a FOSTER or FOSTER TO ADOPT or BEST OF ALL A FOREVER HOME TOGETHER ❤️❤️

PLEASE GOD let the right person see this 🙏 We only have a couple of weeks. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help us keep Mika and Lucie together!!! They have lost enough 💔 They still have each other and we need to make sure they ALWAYS do ❤️❤️❤️
