Our thoughts are with the horses, their families, friends, and everyone whose lives have been impacted by this tragedy. It’s fly season!
Are flies driving you—and your herd—crazy?
We’ve seen and heard a lot of different ways people manage flies, so we wanted to share a few tips. What works can vary, but these might help:
Fly spray: Some clients swear by it, others not so much. One option is to spray a fly mask, let it dry, and then put it on your animal.
Stall treatment: Spraying the stall floor may help reduce flies around their legs.
Fly traps: Hanging traps near trees, water, and feeding areas can make a big difference.
Have any tried-and-true tricks of your own? We’d love to hear what works for you!

Even animals know that hydration is important! Dunking his hay in water before he eats it! (Makes it look like we didn’t clean the water bucket, but we did, also he didn’t want to use his actual bucket in his stall!) Instead of the old bobbing for apples he practices bobbing for hay! 🤣
