What a weekend! ☺️

We had such a wonderful turnout for all the Greeley, CO Open Shows and an even better turnout for the 2 ADPA Supported shows on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you everyone for entering and making the trip to the Rocky Mountains! For several dogs this was their first time in the ring, first points, and first big show experience! Congratulations to all the winners!

This weekend, we got the incredible opportunity to be a part of the largest entry of Drents (7-10) at a show in AKC history! The Drents and their people made their way to the Greeley Kennel Club shows and showed their hearts out for us. Thank you to all of the amazing American Drentsche Patrijshond Association members that worked together to make this happen!

These past 4 days we have been spending time with our good friends, their Drents, and all the people that wanted to know more about them.

Both of our pups did their best, had fun, and Strider gets to go home with 1 more point towards his CM, winning his class, and taking Best of Opposite S*x in the second show on Sunday 🥳

More than anything, it was truly so wonderful to cheer on our friends. Our little community felt HUGE this weekend, and my heart is so full.

Thank you as always to Kennel van Zoterbèk for trusting us with these lovely dogs ☺️ We are excited to continue our journey with them.

Such an awesome accomplishment by ADPA members!! We are so excited to drive to Colorado!

WOW❗️ Breed entry counts are out for the August 14-16 open shows in Greeley, Colorado, and we are thrilled to share it is a historic entry of Drentsche Patrijshonden!

The Saturday & Sunday APPMGC Open Shows, with ADPA-sponsored awards and prizes, have an incredible ✨️TEN✨️ Drents entered! This more than doubles the previous record entry of Drents at a single show.

A huge thank you in advance to all the entrants, organizers, and volunteers! We are looking forward to seeing ALL the Drents and their people who will be gathering in Colorado in just two short weeks, for our first in-person Annual Meeting & Events weekend!

Proud to be charter members of the American Drentsche Patrijshond Association! We love our helpful and kind community.

In the last year alone, ADPA members produced five litters, earned 30+ AKC titles, completed multiple NAVHDA hunt tests, launched a North American Drent Health Survey pilot, premiered our first Drentflix video, hosted a Drent booth at AKC’s NYC Meet the Breeds, sponsored our first Open Shows, developed multiple ADPA award programs, were featured three different magazines, and more.

This is what an active, growing breed club looks like.

If you own a Drent, your dog is part of this story. Joining the ADPA means you are too. Your membership directly supports the work being done to grow this breed in America and advance our path toward AKC recognition. Whether you support our mission with your dues, your ideas, or your volunteer efforts - it all makes a difference for the future of the Drent.

Join us in Greeley CO, August 14-16 2026! The American Drentsche Patrijshond Association is sponsoring two of the six Open Shows in collaboration with APPMGC and Greeley Kennel Club. Concurrent with the shows, there are TONS of other events happening - performance sports, health clinics, breeder showcase, and more. We encourage all Drents, showing or not, to take advantage of these fun opportunities!

If you are in the area and interested in the breed, this will be a fantastic opportunity to meet many Drents - puppies, adults, seniors - males and females - all in one place!

Pending AKC confirmation, Strider and Winnie both sit at 5 CM points now!

I am especially proud of Strider this weekend for showing his heart out for me. As a young, 2-yr old dog, he can sometimes lack focus in the ring because he much prefers to sniff the floor or look anywhere except straight ahead 😂 These past 3 days he held his head up in the ring, moved well for me, and was a great teammate. Outside the ring, everyone he greeted got lost in his eyes as he begged for cuddles. Love my sweet boy 🥰

A huge shoutout to our lovely friends who came to the show every day to support us! The Open show had an audience every day. It was super awesome that all 3 Drents present this weekend were able to earn at least 1 point 😊
