We love every msg that came in asking us to not leave or to reopen quickly or to just express care & concern. The intention was never to close- I just needed to step away from ALL of it for awhile. My mental health was not in the greatest of places for the last year when it comes to my business and it's connections. For a long time, it didn't feel like I would ever feel inspired or motivated again. It just took me a bit to remember I'm in this for the crabs and the possibility of leaving my grandbabies a legacy. I had to let allllll the rest of it go. I feel good about where I'm headed and I'm thankful for the community of crabby people that have helped heal my heart. 💜

IMPORTANT INFO:
If you recently got food from us, either from a mystery box or a purchase, and the date technically says expired- IT'S NOT. Let me explain-
I just recently started using dates at all. So I'm not really "used" to it. When I create a new label, I open a previous file and edit it. So in some mixes- that meant I didn't catch the date mess up. It's an extremely lazy way of making labels but it just helps me out. I am not trying to be spicy here- but I can't keep foods in stock for more than 4 weeks so nothing gets a chance to go bad. Our meals and tins are good for AT LEAST a year. That's the industry standard. I have been testing my foods since the beginning and my crabs sometimes eat mixes 3 years old.
So please accept my sincere apology about the confusion. I will be paying close attention to that from now on. 🙂👍

It's Dandelion season! Did you know your hermit crabs love this plant? Not just the flower, the roots and stems and leaves are all safe as well. If your yard is completely pesticide free, grab some up! They like them fresh as well as dried. If you don't have a dehydrator, place on a baking sheet and bake at 200°. Time will vary depending on amount, damp of the flower, etc. If you have mesh fruit and veggie bags, I recommend using them. Some of the flowers will become the "puffy" part and get all over every piece of furniture and every square inch of the floor... a real mess. 🫩 Or so I heard. 🫣
