🐰 WHY DO MY PUREBRED HOLLAND LOPS COST $200? LET’S TALK ABOUT IT! 🐰
I’ve received quite a few inquiries about the price of my baby Holland Lops, and I’ve heard more than once that $200 seems expensive for a rabbit. So, I wanted to take a moment to explain what goes into raising my babies and why I price them the way I do!
First and foremost, you aren’t just paying for a rabbit. You’re investing in years of breeding experience, quality genetics, proper care, and a breeder who genuinely cares about where her babies end up.
🐰 QUALITY BREEDING & SHOW EXPERIENCE
I’ve been breeding and showing Holland Lops for over 10 years, am a 10+ year 4-H alumni, and am a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA). My herd is carefully selected for quality, and my rabbits come from show-quality lines, with several titles earned within my herd.
I don’t believe in breeding just to produce babies. I believe in breeding with purpose, selecting the best rabbits I can, and continually working to improve my herd. Quality breeding takes years of experience, careful selection, knowledge of pedigrees, and a significant investment in excellent breeding stock.
🐰 A SMALL HERD WITH BIG STANDARDS
I intentionally keep my herd small so I can provide every rabbit with the individual attention and care they deserve.
My rabbits live INSIDE my home, not in an outdoor hutch or a traditional stacked wire-cage setup. Instead, they live in spacious dog playpens with hides, toys, treats, enrichment, and individual free-roam time in a large loft area.
Their care goes beyond meeting the bare minimum. I want my rabbits to be healthy, comfortable, mentally stimulated, and treated as the pets they are — not simply as breeding animals.
🐰 EXPERIENCED, KNOWLEDGEABLE CARE
In addition to over a decade of rabbit breeding and showing, I work full-time as a veterinary technician. My professional experience gives me an additional foundation in animal care, recognizing potential health concerns, and understanding the responsibility that comes with owning an animal.
Raising healthy babies requires time, attention, appropriate nutrition, clean housing, monitoring, and the ability to recognize when something isn’t right. All of that matters!

I want my adopters to feel prepared and supported, not left to figure everything out on their own. Whether you’re a first-time bunny owner or an experienced rabbit person, I want you to have the resources you need to give your new family member the best possible life.

My $200 price reflects the time, work, knowledge, care, and intentional breeding behind every litter — along with the supplies, educational materials, and continued support I provide to my adopters.
I completely understand that everyone’s budget is different, and I’m not here to tell anyone what they should spend on a rabbit. There are wonderful rabbits available through rescues and shelters too, and adoption is always worth considering!
However, if you’re looking for a carefully bred, purebred Holland Lop from an experienced breeder who prioritizes quality, welfare, and responsible placement, there’s a lot more behind that price than meets the eye.
I don’t breed for quantity. I breed for quality.
