A little more “Danielle Lore” for you guys on this beautiful Sunday! This time, it’s the dock diving edition 🌊

If you’ve seen all of my recent summer stories involving the dock diving pool and Swimply rentals with the dogs, you may have wondered what my water background actually is. 💦

I started competing in dock diving in 2012 and began teaching classes in 2015. Over the years, I’ve competed through Ultimate Air Dogs, North American Diving Dogs, and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.
NADD is where I spent most of my time, taking 10 dogs to World Finals - several in two different disciplines - and winning a national championship with Toast in 2020. I also spent two years helping with the administrative and very physical labor side of running a mobile dock, and I’ve judged for both NADD and ASCA. ☀️

Through all of that, I’ve never stopped teaching! I love introducing new dogs to the water and watching their confidence grow, teaching dogs to catch frisbees off the dock (my two favorite sports combined), and working through all of the troubleshooting skills in between. 🥏

Plus, I happen to think it’s the best way for dogs and humans alike to survive a Tennessee summer. 😎

Today, we want to shine a special light on Rosie and celebrate her love of life. ❤️🌹

Rosie has been waiting long enough… could you be her happy ending?

Five years ago, a sweet little pittie wandered near our training facility. She was skin and bones, covered in scars, and carrying the weight of an unimaginable past. But beneath it all, we saw a beautiful soul.

We named her Rosie.

Rosie spent four years at our facility. Four long years.

During that time, our team worked tirelessly to help her heal. While her past left her reactive to other animals, one thing has never changed, Rosie absolutely adores people. She is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she’s by your side. She simply needs to be the only pet in the home.

Then, a year ago, something incredible happened.

One of our amazing volunteers opened their heart and home to Rosie. As she left, more than 20 staff members and volunteers lined up to send her off with hugs, gifts, a farewell cake, and even a personalized suitcase filled with all the treasures our wonderful supporters had given her over the years. It was a day we’ll never forget.

Today, Rosie is thriving in foster care. She’s healthy, active, adventurous, and finally experiencing the life she’s always deserved.

Now she’s ready for her forever.

Rosie is looking for a family where she can be the center of your world as the only pet. Her adoption fee has been WAIVED because what matters most is finding the loving home she’s waited so patiently for.

Danielle lore and OOO update ✨

I mentioned in my welcome post recently that my love for dogs evolved into the dog sport realm, but many of my clients don’t know how involved I have been.

My first love was disc! Throwing plastic to dogs is a special kind of peace and connection. I became competitive in 2015 and began traveling to competitions and seminars. By the end of 2017 I had performed for crowds at state and local fairs, at Purina Farms for visitors, in the popular Purina Incredible Dog Challenge, and even at an NFL halftime show.

I continued training, traveling, and competing an average of 30 weekends a year until the pandemic slowed things down & my most talented and competitive dog became injured and retired. I still competed with my other dogs, and have been to more world finals than I can count; but it was never the same.

As the years went on, I traveled and competed less and less and prioritized my time with my dogs relaxing, and with my client dogs at home. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of energy to travel and compete with 6+ dogs for days at a time!

While I only compete a couple of times a year now, we still play disc at home every single dog and I have maintained being a judge in one of my favorite organizations. Every July, over my birthday, I collaborate with to host a 2 field, four day disc dog competition in Maquoketa, IA!

This year I will be out of town and largely unavailable from July 7-15. Day program will halt during this time and I will not be accepting boarding dogs. I hope to be in a place in the future where I have staff to care for dogs at home while I am away, but I am not quite there yet 😉

I appreciate your understand and patience as I scale back a little leading up to the event as I prepare. I will be excited to see everyone and finish out the summer strong when I return to work on July 16! 💪🏻

What a fun spring it’s been! 🌱☀️

As summer kicks off, we’re saying goodbye to our amazing May graduates as they head home and continue their adventures. June Board & Train programs are officially full, but we have several openings beginning July 16!

Every Board & Train program is individualized to your dog’s goals and includes training equipment, follow-up lessons, and off-property training opportunities to help build real-world skills and reliability.

We attended our first last night and WOW! What a fun event! 🤩

I’m just coming up on a year in this beautiful city and I am loving getting to know the community better. I met so many amazing vendors and artisans, and Suede and Beignet really put their training to the test! 🐾

A lesser known fact about me is that I LOVE festivals, markets, etc. both for the shopping and for the exposure that it provides dogs. So excited that this season is underway! 💐
