Big news! 🦎

We’ve been a little quiet over the last few months, but we’ve been busy cooking up something new.

We’re excited to announce that You Deserve Betta has branched out into gecko rescue and rehoming! While our mission to help bettas isn’t going anywhere, we’re thrilled to begin giving crested geckos and other reptiles the same second chance they deserve.

To kick things off, we currently have four adorable crested geckos looking for their forever homes. A small rehoming fee applies to help support the care of our rescue animals.

If you’ve been thinking about adding one of these amazing little dinosaurs to your family, we’d love to hear from you! Send us a message for more information or to apply.

Welcome to the next chapter of You Deserve Betta. 💙🦎

Shy Petey! One last little guy standing 💙
He ended 2025 and started 2026 on a rescue hospital tank✨

Still waiting patiently for someone to open their tank - and their heart - to him 🐟💫
Here’s to hoping his new year brings a forever home 🤍

🐟✨ Say hello to this sweet girl who hitched a ride with us the other day! She’s looking for her forever home 💖 and… she still doesn’t have a name! 🐾

We need YOUR help - drop your best name ideas in the comments! 💡👇 Let’s find the perfect fit for this adorable little lady. 🐠💛

These two boys are still waiting for their forever homes - hopefully just in time for the holidays. Please consider adopting Rudolph and Shy Petey and giving them the warm, safe tanks they deserve. 🎄✨🐠🎅❤️

Currently available adoptable Bettas! 🐠✨

Opalite and Marjorie are finally ready for their new homes 💕 These two beauties have been thriving and are so excited to meet their new families!

We also picked up our very own little Christmas reindeer on our last outing - Rudolph 🎄🦌 A festive little fish with big personality!

And last but not least, we still have sweet Shy Petey, our Tangerine Koi 🍊💛 Petey is a special-needs boy with mild but permanent swim bladder disorder. He swims, eats, and loves interacting… he just does it in his own unique, wiggly way 🥹💦 He would do best in a small 3 gallon tank.

Message us to learn more about any of these cuties!

Meet Opalite and Marjorie! 🐠💖

They’re still pretty small, but they’ve already got big personalities. Both girls are settling in beautifully and nibbling on every snack we offer. With a little time and a lot of good food, we’ll have them filled out like well-fed Thanksgiving turkeys in no time. 🍗😄

Stay tuned for their glow-up updates! ✨🐟

**ADOPTED** On a scale of 0-10 , how likely is it that Jess couldn’t resist that face and took him home with her for rehoming? 🧐

⭐️ **MORK HAS BEEN ADOPTED** Two new Bettas joined the rescue this week!! Please meet Mork the Alien and Shy Petey the Tangerine Koi (he hates the camera). Please consider giving one of these handsome bettas a new home 🏠

We’ve been seeing so many gorgeous bettas lately - rescues, surrenders, and even fancy breeder ones and we want to show them off! Drop a photo of your betta in the comments and tell us their name and personality. Let’s fill this feed with fins, color, and a little bit of fishy chaos. 🐠💙
