In May 2025, I went out on my own with two horses in training. No facility, no plan, just a camper we'd live in for over a year and a Facebook post announcing Valimont Performance Horses was open for business.
17 months later, I unloaded 24 head into a barn we built, on land we own. Something that's ours.
Nothing was handed to us. No investor, no family money, no client who bought our way in. Just work. And a lot of no's along the way. Every time, we found another way, worked harder, or waited on God's timing instead of our own.
I'm not the most talented trainer. I've got so much left to learn. But if these 17 months taught me anything, it's this: you don't need all the money, resources, or approval to start. You just need to put your head down and work, tell the truth, and trust God with the rest.
This is just the start. There's so much left to build.
Tonight I'm sitting in my barn, listening to these horses eat their hay, and being grateful.
