Nessee's back!
Nessee is a beautiful Catahoala mix rescue. She has been boarding with us for about two years. Nessee and Nala are the absolute best of friends. They're kinda like kindergarten besties, they love to play nonstop until one gets cranky. We try to avoid that by stopping the play and giving them a break when one seems to be over whatever game they're playing. After taking a break, sometimes a nap, they are ready to start their games all over again.
We love having Nessee here and seeing the joy her and Nala share.

An unintentional bird sanctuary.
I'm supposed to be on vacation this week. As life would have it that didn't happen. At least I saved myself 2 days of this week to not have other people's dogs here.
Yesterday, Nala and I escaped to Townsend to hike down by the river. It was perfect weather and the water was cold. A sweet release after the muggy heat we've been having. We did our best to relax and do nothing all day. That lasted until about 2pm. That's when I remembered I need to catch up on some yard work and for whatever reason I can't relax when there's work to be done. I run a business after all.
Today I realized I need to make a decision. For some reason the birds love my yard, even with all the dogs running around. They are constantly building nests and having babies.
When I find a nest low to the ground, I put a pen up around the area until the babies leave the nest. Well, I got lazy when I found a nest in one of my outdoor play yards. I just closed the gate and figured I'd deal with it later.
Now it's later and more birds are nesting in the play yard. I need that space for dogs. Do I evict the birds or just not use the yard for the rest of the year? I run a business after all.
Do I just declare it a bird sanctuary and deal with it?

Daisy's back for week 4 of Puppy Prep day training and this week her new brother Boone is joining us. We will be working on appropriate play, manners, and how to chill out for quiet time and naps. Each puppy has their own space for quiet time and naps so they don't become dependent on each other and learn to self-soothe. They will each have individual training sessions along with yard time together to work on socialization.
