Lulu is SO adoptable! 🤍🖤

Here's why you should consider taking her home:
💚 Old enough to be past the puppy phase, young enough that she's just getting started!
🦴 Past the chewing phase
🏡 House broken
🪢 Walks easily
💚 Crate trained
🥰 Affectionate
📢 NOT a frequent barker
🐶 Medium build - she won't be a huge dog!

Here's what you should know:
🐕 She probably has some herding dog in her and those instincts make some other dogs (and cats and chickens and ducks) uncomfortable which has led to some kerfuffles in her past. She doesn't mean anything by it - she's just doing what her instincts tell her to!

🖤 Lulu's first public adventure with us was a success!

Last night she went for a small pack walk at a local park with a confident dog she's never met before.

She is reportedly dog reactive so we watched her body language carefully. There was no grumbling, tension, side-eye, or even uncomfortable appeasement.

There was an open mouthed pant, an easy gait, a lot of nose work, and some friendly "hey do you wanna love me" action when we passed strangers.

✅ Zero red flags
✅ No muzzle needed
✅ No sign of discomfort in a public space

Lulu is not an aggressive dog, and the more we learn about her temperament and possible breed contributions (we believe there is some herding instinct at play) the more we realize what a wonderful girl she is!

**ADOPTION INFO**
Lulu is scheduled for spay on Oct 6. Applications are being accepted NOW, and she can go with an approved adopter following recovery.
She is heartworm positive - no symptoms! We are one month into treatment and doing well!

** CURRENT NEEDS**

There's something in my seat 😏

Lulu's training is going well. She's going to need a foster family soon, and ultimately she's going to make someone a great pack addition! If you know someone looking for a new mid sized companion, share and tag!

Overcoming reactivity and rebuilding trust takes time. She had a rough beginning that didn't help her learn how to communicate as a DOG, so we're slowly introducing her to experiences that let her safely practice. That will be an ongoing process once she's adopted, but our team will be there to help!

MEET LULU 🩷🐾

Lulu recently entered our behavior based rescue when her owner surrendered her to a local vet as an alternative to euthanasia 🥰

Lulu is currently being fostered in Fresno where she's settling in relatively well. We're giving her time to adjust to new surroundings, but soon the real work begins!

Lulu is:
🐶 About 1.5 years old
✅ People friendly
🚸 Kid friendly
❤️ ➕ Heartworm positive but symptom free and undergoing treatment
⚕️Not spayed - but will be before adoption
🛑 Dog reactive: that's where we come in!

Lulu likes:
🥣 Food
💦 Walking in the creek
🥣 Food
🪢 Sniffy walks
🥣 Food
🐈 Chasing cats, bunnies, and other small critters
🥨 Snacks
Did I mention food??

Lulu lacks a little confidence when it comes to other dogs. Our focus during her training and rehabilitation will be relearning appropriate ways to handle excitement and uncertainty.

We are currently taking applications for both a foster (starting late October) and future adoption for her. Once we get her confidence up and she's ready to move on, she's going to make someone a very sweet and loyal midsized pup!

🐾 Toby’s Pack is headed to Coshocton Dog Fest! 🐾

We’re excited to be part of Coshocton Dog Fest on Saturday, September 19th from 10 AM–5 PM at the Coshocton County Court Square!

Stop by the Toby’s Pack booth and meet some of our sweet Ambassador Pups — they’ll be ready to make new friends and collect plenty of pets! 🐶❤️

We’ll have fun games for the kids, including a chance to Pin the P**f on the Poodle, a duck game to find one of Toby’s favorite numbers, plus a raffle for an adorable Toby look-alike stuffie! Every dollar raised at our booth will go directly to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter.

Dog Fest will be packed with fun — dock diving, frisbee, agility demonstrations, an interactive lure course and more!

Come spend the day celebrating dogs, supporting our local shelter, and be sure to stop by and see Toby’s Pack! 🐾

We would like to do a soft introduction to our new friend Lulu 🩷

Lulu just joined us this morning so we haven't had much time with her, but here's what we know so far.

🐾1.5 yo mixed breed
🐾Unspayed female (will schedule spay soon)
🐾Heartworm positive, no symptoms, has started treatment.
🐾Crate trained, seems to be house broken

Lulu comes to us from the quick-thinking ladies at Sugarcreek Vet. What could have been her last day on earth was simply the last day for that chapter. Today is the start of a new adventure.

We'll update as we know more - if you have any interest in being part of Lulu's forever story, make sure you're following along.

The weather is great, the food is amazing, the music is hopping - there is NO REASON not to stop in at Roscoe today during the Food Truck Festival and chat with us, visit our ambassador pups, and have a great time!!

We're here from 11-7 today and can't wait to see you!

✨ADOPTED!!!! ✨

Little Tucker has a new home AND a new job! He is now employed by a very nice lady to keep the rabbits out of her yard and boy is he the right man for the job!!!

We are so glad this guy was able to find a good match where he can learn house manners in a safe space. Welcome home, little friend!! 🐾
