Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno (LRRF) is a no kill non-profit 501(c)3, that is 100% foster based (we do not have a facility).

We rescue abandoned, homeless and neglected Labradors from all over central California and beyond. We wish to end suffering and promote the welfare of labs and lab mixes through direct action and education. We provide each dog with a stable environment, love, companionship, food and veterinary care until a qualified, loving forever home is found. Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno believes that all companion animals should be treated with dignity, compassion and kindness.

Ace – Yellow Male mix, 6 months, 23 lbs.

Looking for a best friend who will fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and tail wags? Meet Ace an adorable lab mix puppy full of curiosity who loves exploring the world one paw at a time. Whether it’s chasing toys, learning new tricks, or hanging out after a busy day of play, Ace is always ready for the next adventure. Like most puppies, he is still perfecting his leash manners but he has already perfected sleeping in the crate and going potty outside.

While he hasn’t been tested with cats, we believe he could do well with a feline friend given proper introductions, a dog savvy cat and supervision. He plays well with his fosters 6 year old female dog and has been around kids and done very well.

Ace is smart, playful, and eager to make friends with everyone he meets. With the loyal and loving nature Labs are known for, this pup is sure to grow into a wonderful companion for an active family, couple, or individual. Ace is ready to continue learning with a family who will give him the love, guidance, and adventures he deserves. With Ace's current smaller stature, we anticipate he will remain on the smaller side of medium when fully grown. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a play session in the yard, Ace is ready to be your loyal best friend.

Gumball – Yellow Male Mix, 7 Months, 40 lbs.

Meet Gumball, a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart! We know it's an unusual name for a puppy, but when he arrived in rescue with sticky gum-like residue on his head and body, "Gumball" seemed to fit—and it stuck!

Gumball was rescued from Bakersfield and has settled beautifully into his foster home, where he lives with a Shepadoodle companion. He quickly learned to use the doggy door, is making great progress with his house training, loves his toys, is crate-trained, and sleeps quietly through the night.

This handsome boy is doing very well on leash walks and has shown curiosity about cats without any signs of aggression. Gumball loves to play hard and then love even harder. After a fun play session, he's more than happy to climb into your lap for snuggles, kisses, and some well-earned downtime.

We think Gumball is a very smart young dog who will thrive with regular, consistent training and continued socialization. He is friendly, social, and enjoys meeting both people and other dogs. While we cannot guarantee how he will do with cats, his young age and easygoing nature suggest that a proper introduction to a dog-savvy cat could be successful.

If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who is equal parts playful and affectionate, Gumball may be the perfect addition to your family.

Brei has found her happy ever after!!!

Even after this senior girl lost her owner, she never stopped being the best girl. Happy, friendly, easy going, and such a good dog! She was a favorite and immediately found a wonderful couple to be her new mom and dad.

Here she is with her new family and she even has an amazing vacation lake house in the Sierras to visit on 7 acres anytime she wants!

R***r – Yellow Male, 2 Years, 78 lbs. (on site soon)

R***r is a typical young Lab with plenty of energy and a zest for life! This big, handsome guy absolutely loves to swim, and when he isn't napping, you'll usually find him carrying around a toy, chasing a ball, or trying to convince you to play fetch.

R***r is both house-trained and crate-trained. He already knows how to sit and is working hard on learning additional basic commands and good manners. When R***r first came to rescue, he was limping, and we discovered he had a broken toe that ultimately needed to be amputated. Thankfully, that hasn't slowed him down one bit, and he continues to enjoy all the activities Labs are known for.

R***r would make a wonderful addition to an active family. While his foster home does not have children, he has been friendly and affectionate with every person he has met so far. R***r has done very well with the large dogs he has met. His foster family has no small dogs or cats so we are still unsure how he would do at this time.

Like many enthusiastic young Labs, R***r is still learning leash manners and can pull quite a bit during walks. With consistency and practice, he is making progress.

Charlie – Female Tri-Color Bernedoodle, 2 Years Old, 50 lbs (on site soon)

Charlie’s mission in life is simple: kisses, cuddles, and constant companionship.

This beautiful 2-year-old, 50-pound tri-colored Bernedoodle has a gentle, affectionate personality and a balanced energy level that makes her a wonderful companion for many types of families. Charlie is friendly with cats, gets along well with both large and small dogs, and is gentle and appropriate with young children, including those under five years old.

Charlie loves being close to her people. Whether she’s climbing into your lap for kisses, snuggling up beside you for cuddles, or following you from room to room, she is happiest when she’s part of the family’s daily life. She also enjoys playing fetch, chasing squeaky toys, and spending time interacting with her favorite humans.

She currently knows “sit” and “stay” and is continuing to improve her leash-walking skills. Charlie is eager to please and enjoys learning when positive encouragement is involved.

Charlie’s ideal home is with an active family or individual who can include her in everyday activities and provide the companionship she craves. She thrives when she feels connected and involved, and she will reward her family with endless love, loyalty, and affection.
