Who knew baby goats were so fast 🤷‍♂️. This little speed demon took us on quite the wild ride. And the young owner rocked this trek in her trusty crocs 😂.

TKO Search & Rescue is now 2-2 on horse rescues. Sage a mare being boarded in Caroline County escaped her enclosure at 11:30am. Eye witnesses and trail camera photos logged her location between 1-5pm. I first became aware of this situation via a facebook post and reached out to help at 7:15pm. After working out logistics and meeting with the owners I launched at 9:15pm. We had our first sighting within 30 minutes and Sage was secured by 10:15pm.

TO BE CLEAR…IT IS ILLEGAL
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or “drones”) are considered aircraft by federal regulations, so federal criminal charges are possible in addition to local charges. Shooting at drones is very dangerous…bullets eventually come down and can damage property or even take a life.

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested two men in connection with the shooting down of a drone. The drone operator was using the drone to search for a lost dog. A landowner observed the drone over his property and shot at it multiple times before hitting and disabling the drone. He was charged with Destruction of Property and Reckless Handling of a Firearm. During the investigation, another man was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice.

If you are concerned about a low flying drone hovering over your property, then try to take a photo or otherwise obtain the UAV’s registration number. Then report it to your local law enforcement office.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus encourages us to let our light shine: "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:14-16, RSVCE).

Being a witness to Jesus' love and grace involves embodying His teachings in our daily interactions. Here are some ways to do so:

1. Live by Example: Show love, kindness, and compassion in your actions. When others see the fruits of the Spirit in you—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—they are more likely to be drawn to the source of these qualities.

2. Speak with Grace: As it is written, "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one" (Colossians 4:6, RSVCE). Share your faith naturally in conversations, being respectful and considerate of others' beliefs.

3. Pray for Opportunities: Ask God to open doors for you to share your faith and give you the courage and words to speak when those opportunities arise. Remember, "Do not be anxious about how you are to speak or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour" (Matthew 10:19, RSVCE).

4. Serve Others: Show Jesus’ love through acts of service, helping those in need, and being a friend to those who are lonely or struggling. As Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me" (Matthew 25:40, RSVCE).

May your actions and words reflect the love and grace of Jesus today and always, gently guiding others toward His light.

While the 4th of July fireworks were a spectacular event for most, one local family lost two horses (Cash & Poncho) whom were spooked by the fireworks. I was on scene from 10:30pm to 1am searching but had to call it a night with limited battery. We resumed the search at 6am and by 7:30 located them. It was an amazing experience to be able to return these guys home safely.
