Hormones… amirite?

I’ll see y’all at the Spotsylvania Farmers Market held at Spotsylvania Courthouse Village today (10/14) from 2 - 6. I’ve got two new flavors of soap - Apricot Freesia and Blackberry Bliss. I added freeze dried blackberries from Snead’s Farm to the latter. It smells divine and the berry seeds add a nice scrubby element.

A client sent this picture of Lacey, hard at work and becoming someone’s favorite. It’s okay to have a favorite goat. Lacey’s an easy one to pick because most goats are liars and she’s honest. No gate latch jiggling, sleight of hand trickery, fence jumping, or exaggerated hunger cries. She’s a good girl. She wasn’t supposed to be our goat - it’s a story for a different day - but I’m so glad she is.

A picture you never want to see... this is not where our landscapers are supposed to be! Heavily overcast skies and heavy tree cover aren't working in the solar energizer's favor at this site. In situations like this, we have to swap out fresh batteries and break out extension cords. We've had a lot fewer escapes this season but our record remains imperfect.

Dorothy and Cornelia… we’re going to AI these girls on November 8. We’re hoping for a couple pretty girls Jester can hang out with in a couple years and a nice big buck out of Cornelia. We’d pair that buck with Jester’s female offspring. We’re AIing Lulu as well.

Breeding plans are stressful because you have to think about what you’ll need a couple years from now. I’ve lost complete control over my calendar and don’t know what I’m doing for the next couple weeks.

My best helpers… besides my husband that does 98% of the manual labor, of course.

Harry and Buddy love a little raw milk for animal consumption in the morning.

This soap is everything - unscented, skin nourishing, deodorizing, and exfoliating. Made with 2 Hens Coffee Roasters grounds because I love the hens and their coffee.

Whomp whomp... I won't be at the market today. I have stuff and this is looking like my best opportunity to get it taken care of so I can kick tail the rest of this fall. If you're looking for anything - pet treats, eggs, goat milk for animal consumption, goat milk soap, etc - send me a message and come see me at the house or find me at the Sunday market. Cheers!
