Have a genuine mindset. If you are always saying "I cant, I cant, what if I'm not ready", ......when will you be? Raise your bar, meet your expectations, and remember that you CAN and you will! You are so capable of many things. Have faith in yourself. Nobody is harder on yourself than you are. You are worth it, you are the GIRL.

I don't want perfect posture, I want you to breathe and feel the movement of your horse. Kirschbaum Equine Fitness. > judgement free zone.

Unfortunately due to wildfire hazardous smoke, it is not safe to work horses and lessons & trainings are closed temporarily until smoke resolves (hopefully in a few days). Please monitor your horses closely for signs of respiratory problems.

Isn't this awesome?
Research doesn't lie.
Now, you can tell your husband that riding is literally keeping you sane.

🧠 Improved cognitive function: Riding requires planning, attention, memory, decision-making, and coordination. Adults who participate in equine-assisted activities have shown improvements in executive function, concentration, and processing speed in several studies.

⚖️ Better balance and reduced fall risk: Riding continuously challenges the brain to process movement and maintain posture. This stimulates the vestibular system (balance), proprioception (body awareness), and core muscles—all of which become increasingly important with age.

😊 Reduced stress and anxiety: Interacting with horses has been shown to lower stress hormones and improve mood. Reduced stress can positively affect memory, sleep, and overall brain health.

❤️ Social engagement: Many older riders gain a sense of community and purpose through riding, which is associated with healthier cognitive aging and a lower risk of depression.

🌱 Neuroplasticity: Because horseback riding combines physical exercise with mental engagement, researchers believe it may help promote neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to form and strengthen neural connections—even later in life.
One fascinating area of research has found that the horse's three dimensional movement closely mimics the natural movement of the human pelvis during walking. This continuous sensory input stimulates the rider's nervous system and encourages the brain to constantly adapt and respond.

Hi, I'm Rachel, the heart behind Kirschbaum Equine Fitness! 👋

Horses have been my passion for more than 22 years, and throughout that journey they've taught me some of life's greatest lessons patience, trust, resilience, and the importance of building a true partnership. 🩷

I created Kirschbaum Equine Fitness because I believe every horse and every rider deserves the opportunity to grow together, no matter their age, experience, or goals. Whether you're rebuilding confidence, improving your fitness, supporting a senior horse, or simply wanting to deepen the bond you share with your horse, I'm here to help you every step of the way.

My approach is built on kindness, respect, and understanding. I believe progress comes from listening to our horses, strengthening ourselves alongside them, and celebrating every small victory together. 🤗

Thank you for being here and for trusting me to be part of your equestrian journey. I look forward to helping you and your horse become healthier, stronger, and more connected.✨️🐴
