And just like that, the 2026 Mudi Club of America National Specialty comes to a close 🥰🥰
I am so proud of all of my kids who took this weekend in stride despite the heat and long days at the venue (not to mention the 2+ hour drive back forth each day). These little dogs do whatever I ask of them at any given moment with enthusiasm and even work when I hand them off to people who they might have just met. So from left to right, I want to highlight their accomplishments this weekend ♥️
Boa!! (AKA Bowie-- Iris x Kpot🥰)
Boa had a phenomenal weekend by placing first in the BBE puppy class 3/4 days, was BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALTY SHOW on Friday, earned Reserve Winners dog to the 5 point major AND Best Bred by Exhibitor on Saturday & Sunday! He also jumped his final requirement on the dock to earn his dock Senior at only 7 months old! Coming off of a hard fear period just two weeks ago, he did AMAZING! I counted how many times he went into the ring on the specialty day and to say he went in SEVEN times while keeping it together is so impressive for such a young dog. We are so excited for our future with this promising puppy

KPOT!!!
Kpot made the cut on Thursday and on Friday took 2nd in stud dog with Boa and Mercy as his "get". Sunday, under esteemed judge Pat Trotter, Kpot placed select dog in an entry of 43 mudis! He also earned himself a barn hunt novice Q after only learning how to hunt for rats an hour beforehand and getting stung by a bee 🐝 🤣 For a dog under two he really has made a name for himself in the breed after going BOB at the Waukesha Supported Entry in July. There are big things to come for this guy 💕

Ocho has been put away to mature since earning his CH (twice, lol) in march and he blew me away by going BOB in puppy sweeps at the Regional specialty and then BOS in puppy sweeps at the national specialty! In breed he showed with Kyler each day and while they are still learning each other he did such a great job for being so young. The future is bright for my little Tequila 🍹

Aero 🥹🥹 (Coro x Halo)
This little 5 month old puppy truly continues to amaze me. Since I was in the ring all day for the national, I missed BPUP basically everyday, which just meant Lela Alison Schreiber got to have some fun with this perfect little guy 🥰💕 Aero got a BPUP group 3 and two group 1's (EEK!!) and a HARD look in BPIS. This guy LOVES to show just like his daddy and I am SO SO SO excited for his future. There are not many mudi puppies who you can hand off to people, but Aero took the experience in stride and, just like his daddy Coro, did not let me down ♥️

I brought him Friday so he could do Peewee with Lela's daughter who is only 8 years old. He was pulled out of a crate, brought to show, and did so amazing. Watching the video of him showing with a little kid made my heart swell. He is confident, friendly, and sensible where most mudis wouldn't be, and it just makes me so proud of him and all of the hard work I put into training him. I picked up his top 10/20 rosette on Saturday and it only made me relive the incredible memories we made last year together. He is truly an amazing representation of the breed and I am proud to have him in my program and have his son to continue on his legacy 🖤

wow--just WOW--is all I have to say about this girl. When people ask me what my ideal mudi is, I can't help but think of Iris, who is both versatile and an excellent representation of the breed. She was farthest mudi in Air Retrieve, gained two more legs for her DSX, earned an invite for the dock regional for air retrieve, a Barn Hunt Novice leg, second in brood bitch out of five entries, AND!!

Iris was handled expertly by my friend Erika Tighe 🥰 Thank you so much Erika for presenting my girl in the best way possible. It is a true testament to her temperament for being handed off so last minute. I am still on cloud 9 with her win and over the moon with the way the National ended 🥹♥️💕
