We once tried to do a garden.. but we have free ranging goats. So then we tried a raised bed.. annnd about those goats. So!! Our raised bed has been repurposed into an outdoor hay trough for our goats! The babies can go underneath and eat without being bothered by the adults, and the adults can eat in peace. A great repurpose!!!

Meet Loki, our barn sentry!! When she was just a couple weeks old, her mother died, and our neighbor down the road bottle fed her til she was weaned. As such, she is the sweetest, friendliest cat!! She takes good care of the grain room and the barn by killing all the critters trying to steal goat and chicken feed. She sleeps in the buck pen and watches over the goats and chickens… somehow she knows the difference between baby goats and baby chicks and the mice, chipmunks etc that she feasts on! Loki will often come to the door of the house looking for snacks, and as a true WNYer, her favorite treat is wings.. especially bbq ones!!
