It’s never easy to say goodbye, and to me, it’s never really goodbye. It’s always until we meet again. ❤️🐾
Today I received an incredibly sweet message from a client whose relationship with me grew into so much more than simply client and pet sitter. Over time, it became a friendship, and I grew to love not only their animals, but the people who trusted me to care for them.
That’s one of the beautiful—and sometimes heartbreaking—parts of this job. You grow close to the animals you care for, but you also build amazing friendships with the people who trust you with two of the most precious things they have: their home and their beloved pets.
It’s bittersweet whenever one of those chapters ends, whether a family moves away or one of our beloved animals crosses the Rainbow Bridge. In this case, sadly, it was both.
So today, my heart is a little heavier and a little sadder. But more than anything, I’m grateful for every memory, every laugh, and all the joy and happiness that Daisy, Gracie, Sinatra, Petey, and the entire crew brought into my life.
It was an absolute joy and privilege caring for them, and they’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
Until we meet again, sweet Daisy. 🌈🐾❤️
