Yesterday we celebrated Boss’s Day! 🩺🐾

We got to take some time to celebrate the man behind SVUC! We are so thankful for everything Dr. Wibel does for our team, our patients, and their families. His hard work, dedication, and passion for veterinary medicine never go unnoticed.

Thank you for everything you do to make SVUC such a special place to work. We appreciate you! 🐾❤️

A few days ago, our clinic closed early for some team bonding at Dr. Smith’s house! 🐾

We had such a fun evening filled with grilling, yard games, campfires, and of course, feeding the horses!

We’re so grateful for opportunities like these to connect outside the clinic, make memories, and strengthen the relationships that make our team so special!

Closing at 3 PM today! 🚨

SVUC will be closing at 3 PM for a team-building event! Our last patient will be seen at 2 PM so our staff can spend some well-deserved time together outside of the clinic.

Taking time to connect and recharge helps strengthen communication, build stronger relationships, and ultimately allows us to provide the best possible care for our patients. 🐾♥️

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Some members of our SVUC team recently had the opportunity to attend IVECCS to continue their education in veterinary emergency and critical care!

We loved seeing our team have the opportunity to learn together, connect with others in the veterinary community, and enjoy some well-deserved fun along the way!

We’re proud to have a team that is always looking for ways to learn, grow, and provide the best care possible for our patients!🐾

20,000 PATIENTS CARED FOR🎉

Our team recently reached an exciting milestone — 20,000 different pets cared for at SVUC!

Meet our very special 20,000th patient, an adorable Bernedoodle puppy who came to us after eating an elk antler! Thankfully, X-rays showed no evidence of a gastrointestinal obstruction at the time, and he’ll continue to be monitored at home.

We’re incredibly proud of our team and so grateful to the 20,000 pets and families who have trusted us with their care. Here’s to the next 20,000! 🐾 ❤️

Recently we celebrated another one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants, Kaylee, on graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business! 🎓👏

Please join us in congratulating Kaylee on this accomplishment! ♥️🐾 We’re so glad you are part of the SVUC team!

🚨 RECORD-BREAKING WEEKEND AT SVUC! 🚨

Our incredible team cared for a record number of patients this weekend! 🐾❤️

Long hours, busy shifts, and a whole lot of teamwork went into making sure every patient received the care they needed. We couldn’t be prouder of this crew and the way everyone stepped up for each other and our patients.

And a huge thank you to our clients for your patience, understanding, and kindness during an especially busy weekend. We know that waiting when your pet needs care can be stressful, and we truly appreciate you trusting our team with your pets. ❤️

Way to go, SVUC team! 🩺🐶🐱

Emergency Fish Hook Removal!🎣

Byron came to Southwest Veterinary Urgent Care after swallowing a fishhook. X-rays confirmed the hook was lodged high in the back of his mouth/throat, with the barb embedded in the soft palate behind the larynx.

After a brief sedation, Dr. Wibel, Marisa, and our amazing team carefully removed the fishhook using a laryngoscope—preventing it from causing more serious injury. 💙

Another great example of teamwork and skilled care when pets need it most. 🐾🎣
