Stay takes time. Start simple and add a little more as your dog gets the hang of it. More time. More movement. More distance. Keep it fun and build from the wins!

A long line gives your dog more freedom to move and explore while safely practicing skills like recall and checking in. The extra space gives them time to think and respond before reaching the end of the leash.

Using positive reinforcement, we can reward those choices and teach dogs what we want them to do. This builds confidence, communication, and skills that carry over into everyday life.

That’s why the long line is one of my favorite training tools.🐾

A reliable recall isn’t built by repeating “come” louder. It’s built by making coming to you worth it every single time.

Keep training fun, practice in different places, and reward the choice to come back. Every successful repetition builds trust, confidence, and a stronger response when it matters most.

Happy Training!

Watching a dog figure something out is one of my favorite parts of training. Sometimes it clicks right away, and sometimes it takes a few extra tries. That’s all part of the learning process. Stay patient, make training fun, and celebrate the small victories along the way. Happy training!

Back at the shelter today with a car full of donated dog food and plenty of time spent with some amazing pups.

Every visit is a reminder of how much these dogs deserve a second chance. Thanks to everyone who helps make donations like this possible!

This is what real training looks like.

Not perfect. Just progress.
Working through it one rep at a time.

That’s how it sticks.

Fetch is easy when it’s predictable.

Next play session try switching it up.
Add an obstacle maybe even a little water.

Now your dog has to think.
This is how we build engagement with our dog.

Is every walk with your dog a struggle? It doesn’t have to stay that way.

Most people expect focus right away in a new environment.

That’s usually where things fall apart.

Start with something easy.
Build engagement.
Then everything else starts to make sense.

That’s how you get a dog that actually listens.

Their routine stays pretty simple.
Walk, snack, nap, repeat.

Dogs thrive on consistency
They’re basically tiny pattern detectors.
