This weekend was a big one for us — we spent time meeting some incredible horses and taking meaningful steps forward in the adoption process. 🐴
As exciting as it is, we’ve been very intentional in our search. We’re not just looking for any horse — we’re looking for the right ones. The kind you can see it in their eyes… a softness, a kindness, a steadiness that runs all the way down to their bones. The kind that reminds us of Bob, and even our late German Shepherd, Axle — souls who carried a quiet understanding and a natural ability to connect.
Not every horse is suited for Equine Assisted Learning or Equine Interactions, and that’s something we’ve taken seriously. We’ve searched high and low, spent countless hours talking with trainers, asking questions, and learning about horses who might truly thrive in this kind of work. It’s about finding partners who are not only safe and steady, but who genuinely want to engage and connect with people.
This process takes time, patience, and a lot of heart — but it’s worth every second.
We’re feeling hopeful and excited for what’s ahead, and if all goes well, we’re looking forward to making some formal introductions in the next few weeks. 💛 Stay tuned.
