Trust is not so freely given from horses.
They have survived since the beginning of time for a reason.
So when you earn that trust, do not take it lightly.

I whole heartedly believe that Bob came back to me in the form of a wild mustang. I treasure every second of these moments where I earn Rusty’s trust more and more each day. I hold strong in my heart to communicate with him you are safe. You are loved. You are home. ❤️

Welcome home, Rusty and Auggie. 🥰🐴🐴

📚🐴 Mane Stories at Bloom & Bridle brings the magic of storytelling into the peaceful presence of horses.

Held beneath the shade of beautiful oak trees at our picnic table gathering space, these Equine Assisted Learning sessions encourage connection, imagination, confidence, and calm through shared reading experiences.

Children can:
🌳 Read along to a Tonie’s story
📖 Read aloud to their equine partner
🤍 Practice communication and confidence
🐎 Enjoy quiet connection in a relaxing outdoor setting

Mane Stories creates a safe and supportive space where learning, literacy, and horses come together one story at a time. ✨

We would like to officially introduce you to Bloom & Bridle's newest members, Rusty and Auggie. 🐴🐴

✨ Rusty is a 7 year old mustang who is kind, patient and loves to be pampered on. But life wasn't always a beautiful open range out west. This handsome boy was rescued from a kill pen. He is getting a second chance at life and we cannot wait to shower him in love.

✨ Auggie is a 6 year old thoroughbred who is a big sweet boy with a puppy dog personality. He was originally owned by someone who just didn't understand how to properly care for and train his breed. We cannot wait to watch him flourish in our home.

Our boys will be coming home by the end of this month and we cannot wait!!! 🥰🐴🐴

This weekend was a big one for us — we spent time meeting some incredible horses and taking meaningful steps forward in the adoption process. 🐴

As exciting as it is, we’ve been very intentional in our search. We’re not just looking for any horse — we’re looking for the right ones. The kind you can see it in their eyes… a softness, a kindness, a steadiness that runs all the way down to their bones. The kind that reminds us of Bob, and even our late German Shepherd, Axle — souls who carried a quiet understanding and a natural ability to connect.

Not every horse is suited for Equine Assisted Learning or Equine Interactions, and that’s something we’ve taken seriously. We’ve searched high and low, spent countless hours talking with trainers, asking questions, and learning about horses who might truly thrive in this kind of work. It’s about finding partners who are not only safe and steady, but who genuinely want to engage and connect with people.

This process takes time, patience, and a lot of heart — but it’s worth every second.

We’re feeling hopeful and excited for what’s ahead, and if all goes well, we’re looking forward to making some formal introductions in the next few weeks. 💛 Stay tuned.

We made it into the final stretch and it is all so surreal 🤍

✨Fencing clips and wire went in
✨Electric and water ran to the barn and pasture
✨Stalls got their finishing stain
✨Sprayed the pasture and will be seeding this week
✨Even a little landscaping to tie it all together

Eli and Lane made sure to say hi to everyone through the window (and kept spirits high during that Florida heat).

Every step brought us closer, and now we will be ready to welcome two new equine friends in the next few weeks.🐴🌱

Big progress happening at the barn! ⚡️🐴

The electrical wiring is officially being run, and fencing has started going up 🙌🏻

I’m especially excited because in the next month or so, the view from my kitchen window is about to get a major upgrade… and I can’t wait to look out and see it all come to fruition. 🥰

Peep Milo, this weekend’s fur supervisor and Eli, his assistant. 🐶🙋
