All Aboard Animal Rescue & Shelter We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Colorado dedicated to saving animals

All Aboard Animal Rescue (AAAR) is a rescue group based in Northern Colorado dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters from areas like Texas and New Mexico. We take these dogs and give them a second chance at life, and connect these dogs with their forever homes. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that our dogs are in home environments until they find that perfect home.

Puppies, roasted chiles, live music…. do we really need to say more?! 🌶️🐾🌱🚂

Watermelon and Goggles here to let you know we have an important announcement… Come hang out with us THIS FRIDAY at First Friday Market on Main! 🤗❤️

We will be there having an additional* adoption event! There will be some adorable adoptable puppies who are ready to meet new people, soak up all the attention, and hopefully even meet their forever families. 🥹

The puppies aren’t the whole reason you should come! There is something there for everyone:

🌽 Fresh seasonal fruits & vegetables
🧀 Local meats, cheeses, baked breads & sweet treats
🌻 Beautiful flowers & local vendors
🌶️ Freshly roasted Pueblo chiles & sweet corn
🎶 Live music
🚚 Food trucks
🐶 And, of course, adorable adoptable puppies!

Come shop local, grab something delicious, enjoy the music, support small businesses, and meet puppies who have been patiently waiting for their forever homes! 🥰 Who knows… you might leave with more than you came for. 😉

This week’s Where are they Wednesday is Picasso, who kept her name!! 🤗🚂

Four years ago, Picasso arrived to All Aboard and met the most perfect family for her. She was officially adopted in July of 2022! Since then, she has also gained a brother who was also an All Aboard member just this year! 🤫 Picasso and her family have been so incredibly supportive of All Aboard and our mission and we are so incredibly thankful for their support and for giving Picasso the most wonderful life! 🥹❤️

Here’s what Picasso’s family has to say since bringing her home:

“Picasso has been with me through so many different stages of my life, and she’s truly my constant. She’s independent, hilarious, stubborn, and has a personality all her own. Shes become my security guard, and has actually potentially saved me in a couple of situations as well with her guarding! Shes not the most cuddly dog in the world, but she shows her love in a million other little ways! I rescued her thinking she needed me, but over the years I’ve realized just how much I needed her too.“

THANK YOU to all the rescuers, medical team, transporters, fosters, volunteers, and adoptive family involved in finding Picasso her forever home and for the beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️

We’re starting to think the Secret Life of Pets litter is a little too good at keeping secrets… because somehow, they’re still waiting for homes 🥹❤️🚂🤫

Max, Daisy, Duke, Buddy, Mel, and Chloe, our Secret Life of Pets litter, have been in our care for almost a MONTH now, and somehow, only one of their siblings has found a forever home. And we have just one question…

HOW?! 😭

These puppies are the total package. They’re ridiculously cute, sweet, cuddly, friendly, and surprisingly well behaved for a bunch of puppies! They love everyone they meet, are always ready for a good play session, and most importantly, have already mastered the fine art of napping. 🤗💤

Spend even a little time with them and you’ll understand why their foster families, volunteers, and staff adore them. They each have the sweetest, easiest going personalities and a way of making you fall in love almost immediately. 🥰

We truly have no idea how these six are still waiting. 🥹 Max, Daisy, Duke, Buddy, Mel, and Chloe are SO ready to trade their secret lives as foster puppies for their very own forever families. ❤️🏡

Celebrating a new start for... Honey Bun, Luca, Flora, Hunter, Luanne, Bruce, Olivia, Billy, Kipper, Scarlette, Rusty, Kindle, Copper, Bayou, and Unicorn!!🎉❤️

With your help, each of these animals has been given a second chance at life. There is no one person saving the lot. Some FAQS:
🐾How do l adopt?
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application on our website! We will start processing your application within 24hr. You can apply for a specific pet or submit a general application. It may take a few days to fully process your application (may include contacting your vet and/or landlord). We will email you for follow up as well as next steps. Approved applications stay on file for 6 months. To expedite your application process, please email current pet records and proof of homeownership or your lease agreement with pet addendum.

🐾Can I adopt if my application is still pending?
Finalization planning will begin via email once your application is approved. We are typically only able to complete adoptions at our events for approved adopters. We are not always able to review applications during events, depending on how busy we are. We highly recommend submitting your application early in the week to give the best chance of it being approved by the time of the event on Saturday!

🐾How do holds work?
Once approved, if you decide to place a $75 hold on a pup, the pup is reserved for you for the first hour of our next adoption event. If you do not arrive by the end of the one-hour hold at the beginning of the adoption event, the animal will be available for other approved adopters. If you place a $50 hold on a kitty, the kitty will be reserved for you for one week while we work on scheduling the meet and greet. The hold fee is non-refundable, but does count toward your pet’s adoption fee! If you decide to adopt a different pet, the hold would be applied to that pet’s adoption fee instead.

🐾If you are looking to adopt at our event, please fill out an application on our website beforehand so that we can get you pre-approved! If you would like for your current dog to meet any of our adoptable dogs, you MUST have an approved application & you must email us to let us know you would like to conduct a meet & greet!❤️

🐱😸To ensure their comfort and safety, our available cats do not attend adoption events. To meet any of our available cats please see our cat adoption link in our bio to get started.

The Secret Life of Pets puppies here to remind you about our Lima Coffee adoption event tomorrow!!! These puppies along with sooo many other pups are SO excited to meet you and hopefully find their forever homes!!!🤞❤️🏠

This litter has been in our care for almost a month now, and only one has found her forever home. We don’t know how they haven’t been adopted yet, look how perfect they are! 🥹 Let’s get these sweet pups to their forever homes! 🤭
