Another pup needs emergency help. 💔

So now Momma has a decision to make…

Do we wait until a couple of orders come in before we send another donation?

Or do we help now?

CoCo has made her decision. 🐾

“This pup needs us NOW, Momma.”

And just like that… another unplanned donation goes out. ❤️

Because when a dog is hurting, hungry, scared, or in need of help, they can't always wait for our timing to be right.

👻 HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREATING TIPS FOR YOUR PUP! 🐶

Halloween is almost here, and while the kids are getting their costumes ready and the candy bowls are filling up, let's not forget about our four-legged family members! ❤️

Here are a few tips to help keep your pups safe this Halloween.

🎃 KEEP THE CANDY OUT OF REACH! 🍫
Chocolate, sugar-free candy containing xylitol, and raisins can be dangerous for dogs. Keep those treat bags where curious noses can't reach them!

🐾 WATCH THAT FRONT DOOR!
With the door opening for trick-or-treaters, even a well-behaved pup might make a quick getaway. Keep your dog in a secure room or behind a pet gate if needed.

👻 BE CAREFUL WITH COSTUMES!
If your pup wears a costume, make sure it fits comfortably and doesn't restrict breathing, movement, or vision. If they aren't happy wearing it, don't force it!

🦴 GIVE THEM THEIR OWN TREATS!
Want your pup to join the fun? Give them a dog-safe treat while everyone else enjoys their Halloween goodies.

🎃 WATCH THOSE DECORATIONS!
Keep wires, candles, glow sticks, and small decorations away from curious paws and mouths. Lit pumpkins should be placed where tails can't knock them over!

🐕 BE VISIBLE AFTER DARK!
If you take your pup for an evening walk, use a reflective collar, leash, or light-up accessory so drivers can see you both.

💡 WAGGIN' WISDOM:
Halloween should be fun for everyone, but not every pup enjoys the noise, costumes, and extra visitors. Give your dog a quiet, comfortable place to relax if things get overwhelming.

Well...there were STRANGERS. 😳😂

Today's lesson comes from personal experience.

When your dog meets new people, give them time to adjust.

Don't force them to interact.

Let your pup decide when they're comfortable enough to come closer.

Some dogs are social butterflies.

Some of us are more like...

"I'll be over here with Mom." 🙄

TAILS OF HOPE 🐾

❤️ I'm asking for a little help today. ❤️

As I've been looking into different nonprofit rescues that I'd like to help, I'm seeing the same thing over and over. They're struggling, and this time of year is especially hard.

With the holidays coming up and everyone worried about the economy, people are watching their spending. I understand that, but the rescues are struggling too.

Unlike many shelters, these nonprofit rescues depend on donations to pay for vet bills, food, transportation, and supplies for their foster families.

Right now, one of the rescues I'm looking at has 47 dogs in 28 foster homes! Just think about all the food, vet care, and supplies those dogs need. The bills add up fast!

This is where we can help. Even $5 can help provide food or supplies for a dog in your own community waiting for their second chance.

I know not everyone can donate, and that's okay. Sharing this post helps, too!

I started Making All Tails Wag because I wanted to help rescue dogs, and that's exactly what I'm trying to do. Every little bit helps, and I want to help as many of these rescues as I can.
