Pet of the Month: Yuki’s Incredible Recovery 🐾
One day, Yuki was her normal, playful self—snuggling, chatting, and waking her family up for breakfast. The next morning, she couldn’t stand.
Yuki, a 3-year-old Siamese mix and beloved emotional support companion, was rushed for emergency care after suddenly becoming disoriented and unable to walk following treatment for ear irritation. She was quickly transferred to MVN, where our team identified signs of a serious intracranial condition.
An MRI revealed the cause: a large brain abscess creating dangerous pressure on Yuki’s brain.
With her family’s support, Yuki underwent emergency brain surgery (craniotomy) with Dr. Carpentier. The abscess and associated hemorrhage were successfully removed, and she was placed on antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, and intensive supportive care.
Her recovery was nothing short of incredible.
Within days, Yuki was walking, eating, and seeking affection. Back at home, she returned to her favorite routines—snuggling, “chatting,” and playing—like nothing had happened.
Today, she’s thriving: happy, silly, and full of life… now with a “secret scar” and an amazing story to tell.
Yuki’s journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with rapid intervention, advanced imaging, and expert surgical care—and the unwavering love of a dedicated family.
Stories like Yuki’s are why we do what we do. 💙
