Have you spent $1000s or more?🙋🏼‍♀️ Do you wish you had thousands to spend to “fix” your dog? You are not alone! 72%-75% of dogs show signs of reactivity in the U.S. Recent reports show even higher numbers with some sort of behavioral problem.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You shouldn’t have to go broke “fixing” your friend. Most importantly your friend doesn’t desire to be unstable.
I AM YOU! What I thought I knew about dogs didn’t work with this dog. I spent a lot of money to get certifications to help her, not you or I, just her. What I learned was not at all what I expected. Now I’m here to help each one of you because I flat out don’t want to see these statics. Dogs are our friends and we shouldn’t have to go broke for them to have successful lives.

CALM: a stressed out animal doesn’t know what to do… whine, pace, itch or shake incessantly, yawn and even guard. When we don’t set calm, safe space and time an animal will choose the only control they can find. If your dog fits into any of these categories they are searching for peace. Be that pathway for your friends ❤️‍🩹🐾👣❤️

PULLING: The training I teach is centered around need and want. The humans have the needs and the dogs have the wants. Listening to your dogs wants makes it MUCH easier to achieve your needs. Trainers often hear “I want my dog to stop pulling”. Why is the dog pulling in the first place? Excitement, stress, fear, lack of stimulation? Each of these pose a different teaching/learning approach. This cannot be a cookie cutter trainer. In this video Stella was getting close to the place she gets off the leash to play. Her excitement had her walking faster than myself and her 10 foot leash. This would have been a much different reaction if she had seen another dog which would had made me follow a different path. Letting your dog dog isn’t letting them be alpha. It’s allowing them to explore at will, within reason. It’s give and take of need and want. Do you need a trainer who will teach you and your dog balance? I’m always happy to help. 💕🐾👣❤️

DEBUNK: Should we work on the myths of dominance, alpha, bossy, or whatever you want to call it? There are so many parts to this, so let's take a bunch of days to Q&A some common issues. Dogs communicate, point blank! I'd love feedback and your questions. When we ask for answers, we also help others ❤️‍🩹. I promise you, you are not alone!

Medical issues, stress, confusion, lack of stimulation, lack of training, and so on can make your dog appear alpha. This is a fast-paced world; we spend more time looking at a screen than our dogs. We may never understand all the technology, but we have a great chance of learning about our dogs when we put in the effort. Our dogs deserve to be understood, to have the ability to tell us things, and to find compassionate answers.

For instance, from a client: Question: “My dog won’t let the other dogs near the water.” Answer: 5 dogs, 1 water bowl inside and 1 outside. Water is an actual resource. The dogs would often find the bowl low on water. Guarding the bowl became this dogs only option in her mind. Easy fix! The owner added more bowls, inside and out. In a few weeks her girl stopped guarding that bowl, was able to relax and gets along better with the pack ❤️‍🩹🐾👣❤️
