Tribute to Morgan

It’s not often that a breeding produces your best friend and companion that turns out to be a pretty great show dog. That was Morgan, from the day he was born having our hands touch him and watching him grow from a pup to adult he was the perfect companion and the best dog I could ever ask for. He was always with me either laying nearby or sitting next to my recliner making me hold his paw (That went on for hours) He was always up for a challenge in any event he was entered in. Around the house he was my trash assistant helping take coke & water bottles or other items to the trash can. Of course, Raven and Hatter would show up wanting a payout for the services rendered (We always said Morgan was the journeyman, Hatter was the assistant helper, and Raven was the union rep.) He was also my diabetes alert dog, completely self-trained, anytime my blood sugar dropped in the 90’s or lower he would start licking my ear and getting pushy to let me know to check it. Morgan was just the best of the best you could ever ask for. He had an exceptional ge***al nature and was outstanding around anyone he met.
Morgan was Anji’s Rally Dog and Trick Dog; she was also his master groomer that made him so beautiful for the show rings. He loved his mommy and would do anything she asked of him. His show career was impressive with three Owner Handle Best in Show wins, multiple OH Group 1 wins and placements along with herding group placements. He won Best of Breed Belgian Tervuren Owner Handle at the AKC Invitational in 2022. He was awarded ABTC AOM Award of Merit at Reginal Specialty and achieved AKC Gold Level Owner Handle and was ranked in the top 10 NOHS Finals for several years. In addition, he competed in AKC Scent Work earning advance level titles and Barn Hunt RATO and earlier this year achieved AKC FIT DOG silver. The list goes on and on. We would like to thank all the judges over the years that awarded Morgan these unforgettable moments. They played an important role in his career and our enjoyment. He was an outstanding ambassador for breed.
Most of all I want to thank my wife who knew I needed a new dog to bring me back to the wonderful things we loved about competing with our dogs. Not only did she plan the perfect litter she gave me the best friend that I could ever imagine.
From my hands that touched you when you came into this world to the same hands that held you when you left us. Run free and fast my love. Mo Mo you will always be a part of me.
