Kronk… a behind the scenes look.

Ever wonder what we are really doing in the van? It’s a lot of whatever makes your dog comfortable, but also a little of what pushes them outside of their comfort zone.

Putting your dog through controlled, manageable discomfort is essential for building confidence.

A lot of dogs we see have confidence through the roof and there are even some that don’t, but they are open to trying new things! And then there are some that just need a little more support.

Kronk gets that support with us because we’ve learned not every dog fits the same approach. He’s a little nervous on the slatmill so we take each session slow and customize for him. Here’s a BTS look at what we’ve done inside (plus some outside walks and running mixed in).

BONUS: He’s excited to see me every time AND I get to take pictures of those dreamy eyes.

Two vans. One mission. 🚐🚐🐾

Today we teamed up with to run a few dogs at — and what a day it was. Shelter dogs don’t always get the outlet they need, and we’re so grateful to be in a position to change that.

All four dogs that stepped into one of our vans today got to move, explore, and just be a dog for a little while. That matters.

I had such a fun time last week meeting and and their FOUR beautiful pups. 🐶 I was so excited I forgot to record a single thing.

Luckily, Timmy is a top notch photographer so we got some awesome shots! 📸

This was a great example of what a first session can look like. Lots of exploring the van, walking over and around the slatmills, and a few steps. Mostly it’s getting comfortable in a new environment, with a new person, asking your dog to do some new things.

It’s important to remember, every dog moves at a different pace. It’s not expected to run on the first session. Honestly, your dog may never run, but the benefits of even walking on the slatmills, both mental and physical, are so worth it.

Today is National Rescue Dog Day 🐾

Jag and Zeena — our Zoomie Squad OGs from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue and Lucci’s House Bully Rescue — are the reason any of this exists. They’re our why, our inspiration, and honestly, our whole ❤️. But swipe through and you’ll see a few more pups who’ve become a big part of this story too — some still waiting for their forever home, some already living their best lives.

They all deserve to a safe space to run. 🐕

Training day! 🐾

Yesterday we opened up the mobile gym for some in training and adoptable dogs at in Indianapolis.

We got them on the slatmills to walk, run, and burn off some of that mental energy. Watching them loosen up and just move was such a blast!

Today’s crew in no particular order:
Adoptable pups (Robo, Gracie, Val, Jacqueline), not adoptable (Ranger, Tina, Fritos, Marigold, and Appa).

Thank you to Medical Mutts for the incredible work you do training service dogs that change lives. It was an honor to have your pups on board.
