Our show website is now up and ready for your entries for The Evergreen Cat Fanciers' "My Furry Valentine" show to be held February 8th & 9th, 2013 at the Ferndale Event Center! This is a fantastic show location with carpeted floors, easy access to restaurants, hotels, etc.

Early bird prices will be ending soon (January 3, 2014) so don't procrastinate! Get those entries in. We have terrific judges, fun events (including FREE male & female congresses, another wonderful raffle, and of course, our Junior Exhibitor ring). All championship cats will automatically be entered in the congresses. These will be ALLBREED congresses - we need 20 entries for it to count. Congresses are an excellent way to add titles to your cats, so take advantage of this opportunity!

AIRFARE!!! Many airlines are having after the holiday sales, so take advantage of the discounted airfares available! The closest airport is Bellingham, but for those who wish to fly into Seattle we can try to help find someone with whom you can carpool! FREE transportation between the show hotel and the show hall is provided.

Well, with the end of the 2012-2013 show season it is now time to start thinking seriously about attending the 2013 Annual in Bellevue, Washington and celebrating those wins with your friends! Didn't quite manage to snag an International Win this year? Then it's time to start thinking about one (or two or three) for next year. The Annual is a great place to bring out all those young (and not so young) hopefuls for next year, and a terrific opportunity to network with other breeders, exhibitors, and judges from all over the world. If you have never attended an Annual before you'll be astounded at all the beautiful cats, spectators, and friendly people!

The Early Bird entries will be ending on June 1, so if you are planning to attend but don't know who you're going to bring just send in your Summary Sheet and payment - you can send me the cat information later. Taking advantage of the Early Bird will save you 10% on not just entries, but also on grooming spaces, etc. And if you happen to be an Associate Member of the 2013 Annual (not a TICA member), you'll save an additional 10%. It's quite a deal, and we don't want you to miss out, so get those entries in soon! Everyone who has entered so far should have a confirmation from me. If not, please let me know ASAP.

We are planning our Welcome to the Annual party for Friday night, where you will be able to check-in and set-up. This will be strictly a social event to enjoy with fellow exhibitors. :) Plans are to have it at the Exhibition Hall so you'll be able to get the lay of the land and save yourself a bit of time in the morning.

Banquet information will be up on the website soon, so start thinking about who you want to celebrate with at the dinner. Tables will hold EIGHT people, so please plan accordingly.

This is probably the prettiest time of year in Washington, so plan to come early or stay late. There are a lot of things to do - sight seeing, rafting, wineries, cruises, mountains to climb, etc. Oh, and did I mention SHOPPING???? Bellevue Square is a shopper's paradise. Boutiques abound, as well as some of the more common big name stores and specialty shops.

Unfortunately last night there was a slight glitch in The Evergreen Cat Fanciers website and the Summary Sheets would not submit. If you tried to enter and were unsuccessful, please try again! We have the problem fixed. http://www.evergreencatfanciers.com/february/enter.aspx

I know some of you were disappointed to be left out of the Portland show when entries closed early. The Evergreen Cat Fanciers does not want this to happen to you at our show, so please get those entries in by this Friday, February 1st. That's when our entries close and we don't do late pages. Don't forget - we have our two Congresses as well for those of you working on titles. One for the boys and one for the girls - and they are FREE! Enter now and enter often. We plan on having a really great time!

Exhibitors who plan on coming to The Evergreen Cat Fanciers show in Ferndale, WA on Feb. 9 & 10 need to be aware that the hotel deadline is fast approaching. Make your reservations at the Best Western Heritage Inn by February 1st to be included in our specially priced room rate. There is transportation available from the show hotel to the show hall and back. We look forward to seeing you there!

There are only 12 more days to enter The Evergreen Cat Fancier's "My Furry Valentine" show in Ferndale, WA to be held on February 9 & 10, 2013. All confirmations have gone out, so if you haven't received yours it either means you haven't yet entered, or I don't have your entry information. I will be at the TNCC show in Portland, Oregon this weekend to take your entries. The sooner you get them in, the better! We have a great show planned including congresses for those of you needing titles on your cats! There is NO extra charge for entering the congresses - they are FREE!

As always we are in need of clerks and stewards. If you are available to clerk it would be much appreciated, and if you have a child that wants to make some $$$ we would love to have them steward! All of our judging rings are sponsored except for the Junior Exhibitor ring! Many many thanks for the generosity of our exhibitors and supporters. It is very much appreciated.

The Ferndale show hall is very nice, and transportation is provided from the hotel to the show hall (and back). The hotel has a shuttle from the airport (Bellingham), so there is no reason to rent a car. There will be a sign up sheet at the front desk for those needing transportation.

Those of you needing titles and/or Regional or International points, this is the show for you. We are winding down towards the end of the show year, so strike while the iron is hot! Happy New Year Exhibitors!

We are getting down to the wire now! Our Early Bird rates for our show end at midnight tonight. So please get your Summary Sheets and/or entries in as soon as you can. I am leaving town tomorrow and will be gone through the weekend, so confirmations will not be coming until I get back. But that doesn't mean you can procrastinate. Any Summary Sheet and payment not received by midnight tonight won't qualify for our Early Bird special!

The Evergreen Cat Fanciers would like to thank our fabulous judges, all the friendly exhibitors from all over the US and Canada, our wonderful vendors, our show photographer Gus Sanderson, Kathleen Shaw and The Community Cat Coalition for manning the gate and everyone who helped make this show another success by sponsoring the judging rings and the hospitality table. A very special thanks to our Master Clerk, Roma Anthony for a clearly marked catalogue, our ring clerks and our ring stewards, without you the show doesn't go on. A huge and very special thank you to Fred Weitz and Rick Johnston for all your hard work in helping with setting up and tearing down the show hall. Thank you Christina Cheng, Kathleen Fortner and Stefani Dell for your help in setting up/tearing down, Wayne Trnka for picking up litter for the club and a huge thanks to Sharon Kalani for your help with the tedious job of vacuuming the show hall afterwards. We are getting close to closing for the show, and I'm all caught up with entries, so I thought I'd throw in another reminder to get your entries in for The Evergreen Cat Fanciers show being held in Tukwila, WA on Oct. 13 & 14. Entries will close this Sunday night at 10PM, and there will be NO LATE PAGES. I have plans on Saturday (an HCM clinic) and will be gone for most of the day, so if you are planning on entering sooner would be better than later for me! :)

We have wonderful judges, a very nice raffle, Kelly Hayton's delicious delectables, amazing vendors, friendly club members to help you, free transportation to and from the show hall, a junior exhibitor ring (judges by the queen of the Junior Exhibitor Program - Sharon Kalani), a wonderful venue, cat friendly hotel....... what more could you want?

I still have a couple of open spots for clerks and/or stewards, so if you are interested please let me know ASAP. Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch? Lunch is provided for all our stewards and clerks, as well as payment for time served. :) We are VERY appreciative of our stewards and clerks. We think they're the best!
