Now’s a great time to start a food garden! And if you need some plant starts, we’ve got you! All our starts were lovingly grown from seed and carefully tended by our resident fox, with the help of many toads, dragonflies, and lizards. ❤️🌱

How to get our plants:
✨Come to the San Marcos Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9AM-1PM. We’re there every week with shelves of plants + our herbal teas and other homegrown / handmade offerings.
✨Come to Plantasia’s Night Market this Thursday in Lockhart. It’s from 7PM-10PM. We’ll be popped up with an assortment of our plants and teas.
✨Find a small selection of our plant starts at The Cornucopia in San Marcos and Plantasia Texas in Lockhart.
✨Check our plant list and place an order for pickup. We update it on Tuesdays and more herbs will be phasing in soon. 👉smalltownfarm.com
✨Check out the garden box initiative by Indivisible Lockhart and sign up for a free garden box this Saturday

❤️Just wanna share how adorable this is.🦊

One of us made a comment a few weeks ago about how if we move all the veg seedlings under this shade cloth, maybe fewer wrens and squirrels will mess with them. We said this because last year we caught our resident mama fox using our shade cloth as a hammock 😂and we figured she’d be a good critter deterrent. But we hadn’t seen her in awhile and it was kinda just wishful thinking.

But went to go check on the seedlings just now and look!!! She got the message. ❤️ Left her some water and watermelon. We love that our place is her home.
