Our Mission

Dedicated Care for Life’s Greatest Companions

As a Certified Cat Trainer, my primary goal is to safely and confidently provide enrichment and stimulation for our feline companions. Education and appropriate training is vital to provide you and your feline the greatest opportunities for a happy and healthy home. Often this is from behavioral issues, mismatched expectations, lack of preparation, or incompatibility with other pets or individuals in the home. These pets often find themselves surrendered to the local shelter. In Cumberland County for the year 2023, a total of 3,026 cats were processed into the county shelter, 28% of the cats were euthanized. Nationally, estimates increase to 45% of all cats are eventually euthanized who enter a shelter. The numbers are staggering and increase year over year. Dogs and cats bring a level of authenticity to my life. I aspire for Blue Isle Pet Cottages to be a lifestyle business which facilities trust within the community as individuals face circumstances in which their pets need a home away from home, specialized care, or training. We are beginning our journey by offering Cat Training Services throughout Fayetteville and the surrounding area. Our training builds upon three positive pillars: Enrichment, Stimulation, and Confidence. We also offer various homemade toys and accessories which are safe, affordable, and effective for your feline companion. Please ask us about customized products to support your training process. We look forward to assisting you and your companion in achieving your training goals and exploring creative solutions for feline care and enrichment! With education and training integrated early into your feline’s life, we can make a difference!

We had a great question today! Is Pet CPR the same as Human CPR??? The long and short of it is not quite. Check out a few online course offerings for you to learn Pet CPR and Basic First Aid for your fur kiddo! Once you've taken the course, set a habit to review your CPR and First Aid steps every month when you give your preventative. It's a great chance to refresh your knowledge 💙

So about those head bumps 😸

🐈 Your cat scent-marks their territory by rubbing their face and body or scratching on furniture and other items in the home. This behavior deposits natural pheromones to establish boundaries where they feel safe and secure.

We are counting down the days! For those who don't know, we are proud to be Fear Free at Blue Isle. We adamantly seek out opportunities to continue learning and this webinar is one we are really excited about. Many of our clients have over five cats in their household which inevitably comes with a bit of personality dynamics. We can't wait to hear what the experts recommend and look forward to incorporating their information into our client training plans. 💙

This webinar explores early signs and causes of inter-cat conflict and practical strategies for restoring safety and reducing stress in multi-cat homes. There are always amazing enrichment ideas around the house. If you have items that you think can help, reach out to your local shelter and see what they use in their kitty condos. You never know what may work! 💙

DO YOU HAVE EMPTY KITTY LITTER BUCKETS?

Don’t throw them away, our shelter cats could put them to good use!

These buckets are a wonderful addition to our cat kennels. They not only provide our feline friends with an elevated surface to lounge on, but they also give them a cozy place to hide when they need a little privacy or feel overwhelmed.

Something so simple can make a BIG difference in keeping our shelter cats comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

Donations can be dropped off at:
Cumberland County Animal Services
4704 Corporation Drive
Fayetteville, NC

Please share! You never know who might have a few empty buckets sitting around.

Our cats thank you for helping make their stay a little more comfortable!
