🌹 Pinch your pennies—and get ready for an opportunity to purchase and own a piece of the Rosewood Gaits legacy!

Our planned 2027 foal out of Pinch’n Penny Cowgirl and by August Blue RWG (“Auggie”) brings together two pedigrees rooted in influential Tennessee Walking Horse bloodlines.

✨ Penny, our 15.2-hand red roan sabino mare, carries Coin’s Hard Cash, Pride’s Gold Coin, Pride’s Generator, The Pusher C.G., He’s Steel Blue, and Ole Blue’s Double Vision—a meaningful blend of the heritage we work to preserve.

✨ Auggie, our 16.2-hand blue roan stallion, is by Storm Plated Carbon and out of Seriously Going Steady. His pedigree combines Carbon, Generator, and classic Walking Horse influences, complemented by his calm mind, willing disposition, and natural gait.

This pairing reflects our vision for the next generation: natural four-beat gait, athletic ability, balanced conformation, trainability, and versatility for the trail, show ring, and beyond.

🎨 What color might arrive?

With a red roan sabino dam and a blue roan sire, this foal has exciting color possibilities! Black or bay bases are possible, with chestnut also possible if Auggie carries the chestnut gene. Roan and sabino markings may add their own distinctive touch.

If both parents carry one copy of classic roan, the foal has a 75% chance of being roan. If either parent carries two copies, that chance rises to 100%. Exact percentages for individual colors and markings depend on their DNA results.

🌹 Meet Sky—A Golden Link to the Past and an Exciting Part of Our Future!

Sky is our beautiful 16.2-hand palomino Tennessee Walking Horse, carrying influential bloodlines that include:

✨ The Old Fashioned — World Grand Champion
✨ Pride’s Traveler — World Grand Champion
✨ Pride’s Handshaker — World Grand Champion
✨ Pride of Midnight H.F. — Hall of Fame

Her combination of heritage, size, and golden beauty brings a distinct contribution to the Rosewood Gaits mare band.

Sky will be crossed with our blue roan stallion, Cash’s Midnight Saint, for a planned 2027 foal! This pairing brings her celebrated pedigree together with Saint’s respected Midnight, Cash, Generator, Carbon, Pusher, and Santana influences—supporting our goal of producing naturally gaited, versatile horses with willing dispositions and balanced conformation.

🎨 What colors could their foal be?

• 50% chance of inheriting Sky’s cream gene, assuming Saint does not carry cream.
• 50% chance of inheriting roan if Saint has one roan copy—or 100% if he has two.

Depending on their other color genes, possibilities include black, smoky black, bay, buckskin, and their roan versions. If Saint carries chestnut, chestnut, palomino, red roan, and palomino roan are also possible.

Exact percentages for each individual color require DNA results; palomino and blue roan coat colors alone don’t tell us every gene the parents carry.

Whatever color arrives, our purpose remains the same: thoughtfully preserving the bloodlines we cherish while breeding horses for a useful, versatile future.
