Official heart-melt alert! 🐾❄️
​Little eight-week-old Yuki from Arctic Shibas has officially settled into his forever home here in Alaska, and he’s already utterly obsessed with his big brother, Whiskey the Shiloh Shepherd!
​Just look at these cozy, color-matched twins snoozing together. One might grow up to be big and one small, but they’re already the ultimate "mini-me" duo. At Arctic Shibas, we love placing our pups into homes with a well-behaved older dog so they can learn the ropes from the best. Yuki is sure to pick up all of Whiskey's great habits—and probably a little bit of mischief, too!

He’s eight weeks old, super chunky, and completely ready for big adventures! ✈️ ❤️
​Look at this handsome boy—this is standard size for our pups when they fly out on Alaska Airlines to their forever families. No fragile puppies here! He's big, hearty, and built for travel. In fact, one of my favorite cargo ladies could barely handle this big armful of fluff! She works with me all the time and still just couldn't get enough of this handsome guy.
​We only ship puppies at a minimum of eight weeks when they are nice, sturdy, and thriving. I handle every single detail to make the process completely stress-free. All you have to do is show up at your local airport at the agreed time to meet your majestic new family member!
​A massive shoutout to the amazing team at Alaska Airlines Cargo. I’ve worked with them for 16 years, they know me by name, and they take such incredible care of my pups. Every puppy arrives happy, healthy, safe, and ready for love. 🐶 ✨

Just unboxed my haul from Wild Starr Creations in downtown Anchorage, and I’m completely blown away! Not only is this place packed with gorgeous gifts, but it also features an awesome crafty party space for paint splatter events etc, plus a coffee shop serving incredible Kaladi Brothers drinks.
The staff was amazingly friendly, and the gorgeous tissue paper packaging made opening these treasures so special. The absolute best part? My items rang up at 50% off! I will definitely be back.

Sun, palm trees, and the sweetest company! 🌴☀️
​Did you know that in addition to our Akitas, we also raise high-quality Shiba Inus? This little beauty is soaking up the Florida sunshine with a wonderful family who previously welcomed one of our Akitas, and recently added another one of our Akita puppies to their home. We love seeing our pup alumni thriving and sharing their lives with these gorgeous Shibas!

Practicing her show stance and ring presence! Here's Minka at eight weeks old—showing great proportions, balance, and plenty of promise.
​As a show prospect, she reflects 16 years of deliberate breeding aimed at the AKC Akita standard. While no dog is perfect and success is never guaranteed, evaluating each pairing’s traits helps us move closer to that standard with every generation.
Time and the judge's ring will tell, but this sweet girl has already captured our hearts.

Minka! 🐕✨
​This sweet girl is just starting her show ring training, but check out that fluid trot! With her balanced proportions, plush minky coat, perfect tail curl, and gorgeous headpiece, she’s a stellar example of what we strive to produce at Arctic Akitas here in Fairbanks, Alaska.
​All of our dogs are fully health tested, and we will always stand behind them 100%—always have, always will.
Minka is having a blast strutting her stuff, and this is just a quick peek of what's to come.
