From Nervous to Running the Yard 🐾❤️

When Paloma arrived at daycare, she wasn't quite sure what to make of the crowd. Some familiar faces were there, but there were also plenty of dogs she hadn't met before.

Rather than forcing interactions, Paloma took things at her own pace. She started by reconnecting with familiar friends like Fae and Asher, then gradually branched out to meet Lili and Rosary. With each positive interaction, her confidence grew.

Before long, the shy pup who arrived feeling uncertain was racing across the yard, joining chase games, playfully wrestling with friends, and fully embracing the fun.

One of the most rewarding parts of daycare is watching dogs discover that they can be brave, make new friends, and enjoy experiences they weren't sure they could handle. 💕

Archie came in today and this little guy is just as cute as they come! 🐾💕

It had been a while since his last groom, so when he came in we made the call to take him a little shorter than we normally would. It wasn't the original plan—but comfort always comes first, and going shorter was absolutely the right choice for him. He left feeling fresh, comfortable, and so much happier than when he walked in!

When a dog's coat is allowed to grow out too long between appointments it can become really uncomfortable for your pup. Keeping up with a regular grooming schedule helps prevent that and ensures your dog always feels their very best. Daily brushing at home between visits is also a game changer—even just a few minutes a day goes a long way in keeping their coat healthy, manageable, and comfortable between grooms.

We're so glad you brought Archie in when you did—he looks absolutely precious and we can't wait to see him again! 😍

🚨 INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY 🚨

What started as a perfectly normal enrichment activity quickly turned into a full-scale mystery when Lili the Newfoundland noticed something very suspicious happening inside the tunnel. 🌀🐾

Dogs would enter one side...

And then somehow appear somewhere else.

Rather than participating in the activity herself, Lili took it upon herself to monitor the situation, gather evidence, and determine exactly what was happening.

Was it science?

Was it magic?

Was it a wormhole?

The answers may surprise you. 😂

Tunnel enrichment is a fantastic way to encourage curiosity, confidence, problem-solving, and exploration—and apparently it can also create amateur investigators.

Not every dog bursts through the daycare doors ready to party—and that’s completely okay. 🐾💛

Ollie arrived a little unsure of this whole “daycare thing,” sticking close to our team, taking in the sights, sounds, and very enthusiastic personalities around him. New environments can feel overwhelming, especially when the other dogs already seem to know the routine.

But one of the best parts of structured daycare is watching confidence grow in real time.

At first, Ollie was content to observe from the sidelines, carefully studying Hemi and Bluey’s high-energy wrestling matches like he was taking notes. 👀😂

Then something shifted.

Curiosity won.

Ollie stepped in, joined the fun, and discovered that the “big scary chaos” was actually just potential friends inviting him to play. 💙

By the end of the day, the nervous whines had been replaced with happy pants, playful barking, and a much more confident pup.

Not every dog needs the same pace—and that’s exactly why thoughtful introductions matter.

Introducing Lady—the stylish bigger sister of the most adorable grooming duo we have in the salon! 🐾✨

Lady comes in regularly with her little sister Ruby, and together these two girls keep us on our creative toes! Mom loves to mix things up and try new styles, which honestly makes their appointments some of our absolute favorites. Right now both girls are rocking clean feet and round short faces—and they are pulling it off PERFECTLY. 😍

Lady's straighter hair gives the style such a beautiful, polished finish, and the round face shape suits her like it was made just for her. She looks like an absolute dream!

Clean feet aren’t just cute—they can also be a practical option for dogs who tend to collect mud, moisture, or outdoor debris around their paws.

There's something so special about grooming siblings together—watching their individual personalities shine while they share the same stylish look is just the sweetest thing. We are completely obsessed with these two! 💕

Some dogs enjoy group play.

Some dogs chase tennis balls.

And some dogs become intensely committed to a solo mission that absolutely nobody assigned. 😅🐾

Banana spent part of her daycare day deeply focused on what can only be described as a highly personal conflict with a red frisbee.

The concentration.
The determination.
The complete refusal to acknowledge other opportunities happening around her. 😂

Honestly, one of the funniest parts of dog daycare is watching the wildly different personalities emerge once dogs settle in. Some are social butterflies. Some are referees. Some are chaos goblins with a very specific agenda.

From Nervous Newcomer to Chase Game Participant 🐾💛

Otts’ first daycare visit started exactly how many thoughtful, sensitive dogs start—with a lot of observation and a healthy dose of uncertainty.

New environment? ✔️
Unfamiliar dogs? ✔️
Different routine? ✔️

That’s a lot for any dog to process.

One thing we learned quickly is that Otts appears to have a fear response to sq**rt bottles. When one was briefly in hand, he became visibly uncomfortable and defensive. Once it was removed and the moment was calmly de-escalated, his body language softened and he approached normally again.

Moments like that matter.

Learning what makes a dog feel unsafe helps us better support them and build trust moving forward. 💛

Socially, Otts started the day cautious and alert—which is completely appropriate for a first visit.

But as the day went on? Progress. 🙌

He began warming up to Ella, Juniper, and Kinu, eventually joining in chase games and even some light roughhousing with his new friends.

For a naturally shy dog, that’s a BIG win.

Not every dog walks in ready to party. Some just need a little time, patience, and the right environment to feel safe enough to participate.

Otts did very well for day one. 🐶
