Meet Tiberius, the sweetest little Yorkie with a very specific grooming style! 🐾

During our session, I noticed that whenever I asked Tiberius to stand up, he’d flatten himself right out like a little pancake on the grooming table. It’s his way of saying he’s not quite ready to move. I’ve learned that if I lift him very slowly and gently, he feels much more secure and "pancakes" a lot less.

The takeaway here is that sometimes you just have to do things the dog's way. Whether it’s changing my tactics, adjusting the order of the groom, or simply moving at their pace, listening to these small cues makes a huge difference. When we stop rushing and start observing, the dog feels respected and safe.

In the world of luxury fragrances, a master perfumer is known as a nez—French for "nose."

Meet Monsieur Otts. Self-appointed fragrance connoisseur. Impeccable credentials. Questionable priorities. 🤣

We prepared a Halloween scent challenge at Four-Legged Fun Zone. The mission? Find the specially scented ball hidden among the others.

Simple enough, right?

Apparently, Monsieur Otts has his own interpretation of the assignment!

🎃 Summer's Over... But What About the Kiddie Pools?! 😂🐾

Just because summer is winding down doesn't mean the fun has to end!

We've been dreaming up creative ways to give some of our favorite summer equipment a second life during Pumpkin Palooza. And let's just say our latest idea has given Fae, our beautiful Great Dane, a little something to think about! 🤔

Watching our pups figure out new enrichment activities is half the entertainment. Some jump right in, while others take their time trying to make sense of what we've dreamed up!

Meet my new friend Audrey! 🐾

During her visit today, I noticed Audrey was feeling quite unsure about the high-velocity blow dryer. You might notice her head looks a little damp in her "after" photo—and that’s completely intentional. At Four-Legged Fun Zone, I’m not here to torture dogs just to get them looking "perfect." We settled for "good enough" today because prioritizing Audrey's comfort is what builds a lasting bond.

Building trust is a slow process, especially with nervous pups. For dogs who are sensitive to sound or touch, stopping before they become overwhelmed is an important part of their education. When she comes back next time, she’ll remember that I listened to her body language and cared more about her feelings than a perfectly dry head. We’ll take it one step at a time, and maybe someday that head will be dry, but today was a win for her confidence!

Apparently, our little investigator was promised a simple assignment. What followed involved questionable management decisions, unexpected complications, and working conditions he did NOT approve of.

Naturally, Gus handled the situation with his usual humility and professionalism. (That's our story, and we're sticking to it.) 🕵️‍♂️

Rebel hit the turf running and didn't look back! Operating at peak excitement right alongside his buddy Auggie, he turned the outdoor play area into a high-speed racetrack of non-stop action. From wild tumbles and sudden zoomies to lively games of tag, Rebel brought wholehearted enthusiasm to every single moment of group play at dog daycare. Even when the fun police tried to check in, this lively pup stayed completely focused on his next adventure.
