Lockdown update over here at 4J’s Cajun Homestead! 🐣🥚

We’ve got another exciting batch officially in lockdown! This round includes:

✨ Pearl Fees
✨ Blacks
✨ Celadons
✨ English Whites

The incubators are staying busy and we’re getting closer to another hatch day. There’s always something exciting going on around here, and we can’t wait to see these babies start arriving!

And we’re not done yet — tomorrow we’ll be putting another batch into lockdown too, including the specialty eggs from Buddy’s Hatchery. 🙌

Hatch season is definitely keeping us on our toes, but we’re loving every minute of it. Stay tuned for baby updates! 💛

Now that’s an egg collection! 😂🥚

The kids were out helping gather eggs last night and apparently the girls have been BUSY. This is exactly why we’ve been expanding the quail setup — more breeder groups, more hatching eggs, and a whole lot more eggs to collect.

I love that the kids get to be part of the everyday work too. They’re learning that all those chicks, brooders, cages and incubators eventually turn into something productive.
