🎆 Firework Friday: One Month Until July 4th! 🎆

Believe it or not, we’re only one month away from Independence Day. If your dog struggles with fireworks, thunder, or other loud noises, now is the time to start planning.

Many dogs benefit from prescription medications, but finding the right option often takes time. Your veterinarian may want to:
✔️ Discuss medication options
✔️ Prescribe a trial dose before the holiday
✔️ Adjust dosages if needed
✔️ Make sure medications don’t interact with other health conditions

Waiting until the last minute can leave you scrambling when veterinary schedules are full and pharmacies are running low.

Even if your dog has never shown fear before, keep in mind that noise sensitivities can develop over time.

Over the next month, we’ll be sharing tips to help your dog stay safe and comfortable during firework season. 🎇🐾

Homework for this week: If you think your dog may need medication support this year, contact your veterinarian and schedule a conversation sooner rather than later.

🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day 🐾

Today we celebrate the dogs who got a second chance — and the people who gave it to them. Rescue dogs come with stories, resilience, big feelings, goofy habits, and so much love. Whether they came from a shelter, a rescue, a rehome, or straight off the streets, they deserve patience, compassion, and the opportunity to learn that the world can be safe again. ❤️

At The Training Spot, we know rescue dogs aren’t “broken.” Sometimes they just need support, communication, and a little extra time to build confidence. Watching a once fearful or uncertain dog begin to play, trust, and thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We’re still wagging our tails over this weekend! 🐾

Thanks to this incredible community, Training Spot’s Team Bark took the #1 fundraising spot at Bark in the Park with a total of $4,233 raised for Greenhill Humane Society! 🎉

We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, walked, stopped by our booth, shared kind words, or simply showed up to support the animals in our community. Seeing so many dogs (and dog people) together for such a good cause was amazing. 💙

Huge thank you to for hosting another fantastic event — and congratulations to all the teams and participants who helped make a difference for local pets in need.
