Avalon Icelandics and Farm We moved our operation to a small farm in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Produce, eggs, and wool products are offered as available.

We breed Icelandic horses, and in partnership with Heidi Benson, of Saestadir Icelandics, offer some horse and rider training.

We blasted down to Kentucky (11 hour drive) this weekend to get a few lessons with Carrie and Terral at Taktur Icelandics, and to pick up my 5 year old. I sent Artemis for gait training immediately after her conformation breeding assessment in May. It was lovely to ride her and bring her home. Here's to us getting to know each other as riding partners. Artemis might also be for sale to the right person off in the future. 🤫😉

Thanks so much to my first Horse-Mom. My aunt Ange fostered my love of horses as a child, though we didnt live nearby. When I bought my first horse at age 40 (🙄) she helped me become a real horsewoman. It was an honor to organize a trip to Iceland this summer, including Landsmót, and have her come along. Many thanks to her. So many people shape us. 🥰
