Today we had to say goodbye to one of the best parts of our family, Queen. We are absolutely heartbroken. She was my baby before I had babies. She was at home waiting for us when we brought Kru, Remi and Gatlin home from the hospital. She was the best big sister there was. She took good care of us and she took even better care of her babies. She was the best listener. She wasn’t “just a dog”—she was a loyal friend, a source of comfort, and a constant reminder of unconditional love. Thank you for every wagging tail, every cuddle, and every memory you are leaving us with. The days were long, but man the years were short. I am forever grateful for the time we shared.
No amount of time as a vet technician could prepare me for the day I’d have to make the decision for my own. It was such a hard choice to make, but it was the most kind one for her after all the loyal years. The kids were so brave and we all stayed right there with her to the very end. You will be loved and missed forever Queenie We**ie.
All dogs go to Heaven, I know you’ll meet us at the gate when we get there. Until then run free, eat endless treats and kill all the squeakers.
