Guide dogs begin preparing for their important work as puppies, building confidence and learning foundational skills before entering formal guide training around 15–17 months of age. After several months of formal guide training, they are matched with a handler to build a lifelong partnership.

These highly trained working dogs and their handlers form a remarkable partnership built on trust, teamwork, and dedication. 🐾
