Canopy management is one of those things that separates a good grow from a great one.

The goal is even light distribution across every plant — which means training, pruning, and spacing decisions made weeks before harvest that determine how much of the canopy actually sees useful light versus gets shaded out.

In a single-tier system like ours, every plant is on the same plane. That uniformity doesn't happen by accident. It requires consistent work throughout the vegetative and early flower stages.

They want to know the cultivar, the terpene profile, where it was grown. They notice the difference between something rushed to shelf and something that wasn't. They've made enough purchases to know that price and quality don't always move together.

The word "craft" gets used a lot. It's on labels, in taglines, in brand names that have nothing to do with what the word actually means. We use it because it's accurate — not because it sounds good.

Craft means a smaller operation with more accountability. It means your name is on every batch and you feel it when something falls short. It means choosing the harder process because the outcome justifies it. That's the standard we hold ourselves to. It's not aspirational. It's operational.

We trim by hand. Not because it's faster — it isn't — but because a machine doesn't know the difference between a trichome-covered calyx and a leaf that needs to go. A person does.

Hand trimming is slower, more expensive, and produces a better result. That trade-off is an easy one for us.
