Wanting a special pup but don’t have the means to raise a puppy? We have just the girl for you!
Ivy is searching for the perfect forever guardian home and it could be you!
Ivy is a very special purebred Border Collie, blue eyed blue Merle female. She is two years old.
She is crate trained, house trained, leash trained, know many commands including some impressive tricks, and absolutely ADORES fetch! Ivy is not your typical “super crazy go all the time high energy” girl, she does love to play, yes, but also loves to lounge around the house and take hours long naps, also loves to snuggle! It’s funny because she will actually let us know when she needs to go outside to play, which is typically two times a day and she’s good good to go, as long as you wear her out by throwing her ball consistently, which doesn’t take long. Ivy is an all around good girl!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must live within 2hrs of Elizabeth City, NC
- Must not have any intact dogs
- Must be committed to Ivy’s care and needs
- Fenced in yard is preferred (although not required, can discuss)
Ivy will remain in our program until she reaches the age of five years old (unless veterinarian suggests sooner). We will give her to you free of charge and take care of everything breeding related, including her post retirement spay. You take care of everything pet related, since she will be your pet, after all!
Ivy does well with dogs (but sometimes does take a moment to warm up). She tends to do better with dogs closer to her size rather than very small dogs, she also will warm up to cats, but may want to herd them for a bit.
