So this has come up with many people I talk to ā€œscammersā€.
They are convincing, but you can find out who they are pretty easily.
1. Do they only show a couple pictures.
Do the pictures all have different backgrounds?
2. Do they have a lot of content on their page? Check their reviews and look up those people, do they have any content or just a few pictures?
3. Do they give their exact location?
Can you google earth them and see their kennel?
4. Do they have a website that matches but also isnā€™t exactly the same content?
5. Will they video chat with you with the puppy in question?
6. If they say they are licensed find out if itā€™s Federal, State and call that Agency, they have records of licensed breeders.
7. Do they allow visitors?
8. Donā€™t be in a hurry, if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
Iā€™m sure there are many ways to protect yourself and I know deposits are required by many breeders but it shouldnā€™t be a huge amount.
9. And if you really arenā€™t sure do Pay Pal they will insure your money and track it.
Be careful my friends, the stories Iā€™ve heard are scandalous and I know there is a special place in _____ for them.
Transparency is key.
