Looks like this boy is going to need a new home. Less than 5 years old, a 100 # bowling ball of love. According to the owners he was easy to train, gets along well with people and animals, raised with cats, well potty trained. Just has a lot of energy and the family has an elder in the home going through health issues and surgery soon. Open to existing Bennett Golden families first. Hit me up if you’ve been wanting another golden. Best for families with older kids/teens just because he’s a big boy and doesn’t recognize his size. Does not like being near traffic but would likely make a great trail running partner.

Very very sad to say that our first golden I’m aware of that we bred has passed. Duke was from our first litter. Just heard from his owner that Duke was acting lethargic and not eating. He was taken to the vet where they found nothing wrong. Two weeks later he passed. He had hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer; one of the things I was trying to reduce in the Goldens we’ve bred. It’s very common in Golden Retrievers. I could not find any sires without it in their bloodlines and chose Bailey and Monty as sires partially due to their reduced incidence of it in their lines. Just wanted to pass on this info if your dog has these symptoms and vet can’t find a cause. No negative comments please…These are very good and responsible owners. I’m heartbroken over their loss.

Bohdie’s been naughty the past two days, taking house items and chewing them. He’s not known to be a destructive puppy so it just dawned on me to check his mouth. Poor guy looks like an old man with most of his front teeth missing and cutting his adult teeth. That doesn’t make it ok to be destructive but does make me understand the why. And now I’ll look for toys that can soothe instead of the usuals. Hope this helps other dog parents if your pups are acting the same!

Why do I strive for excellence in dog breeding, raising litters, and doing what I do? Why do I put many thousands of dollars into every litter and tons of time into raising and forming our puppies? Because I want to honor Christ, Lord of my life. While He lived a perfect life and I cannot, I strive to honor Him with my life and reflect Him and His ways however I can. In my business motto Honoring Man’s Best Friend, I absolutely am not seeking to honor dogs over humans or over God, but strive to love His creation well as a way of loving Him, the master Creator. Happy Easter everyone. And if you don’t know Christ, but want to, please let me know.
