FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Meet Buck! 🐾💙 This sweet boy has been spending time in a foster home, and we have so much more to share about him! Buck is a Pit Bull/Lab mix with a little Doodle surprise thrown in. At around 10 months old and 55–60 lbs, he’s a big, lovable puppy with the most incredible personality.
If you’re looking for an affectionate, easygoing, people-oriented companion who is equal parts couch potato and adventure buddy, Buck might just be your perfect match!
Buck is truly one of the most affectionate boys you’ll ever meet. He loves kisses, all the pets, snuggles, and being close to his people. He’ll gently paw at you when he’s looking for a little extra love, and those soulful eyes will make you feel like you’re the only person in the world. Buck bonds deeply with his people and has all the makings of an incredibly loyal companion who will love his family with his whole heart.
Despite his puppy energy, Buck has a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed. He loves chasing balls, exploring his surroundings, and playing with his dog friends, but he’s just as happy to curl up on the couch and snooze beside you. He’s a little floppy noodle who is still working on coordinating all those growing legs, which only adds to his charm! He’s eager to please, very treat-motivated, and already knows sit and down. He’s also wonderfully polite around people eating, so you can enjoy your dinner without a puppy trying to steal the show.
Buck is a model houseguest, too! He is crate-trained, potty-trained, and doesn’t bark. He does great riding in the car while crated, usually settling right in and promptly passing out for a nap. He’s learning his leash-walking skills and is already a minimal puller when wearing a front-clip harness. He adapts easily to new environments and is not reactive, making him a wonderful pup to continue building confidence and life skills with.
Buck previously spent his early months on a farm at a partner sanctuary in Northern California, so he’s been adjusting to a whole new world. Now that we’ve gotten to know him in a home, we can tell you that this boy is something special! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has great push-and-pull play skills, but because he’s so people-oriented, he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog if he has a family who can give him plenty of love, attention, and playtime.
Buck would love a home where he can continue growing, exploring, and soaking up all the affection he deserves. A fenced yard would be a bonus, and a quieter environment may be ideal as he continues getting comfortable with the world around him.
Buck is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Now all he needs is someone to see what we see: a sweet, snuggly, eager-to-please boy who is ready to give his whole heart to his forever family.
