Here's the update that everyone's been waiting on. We picked "Gibson" for the hurt little boy's name. Thank you all for chiming in on names. So many good ones, it was hard to pick. So the kitty that I posted about that was run over by a car is doing good. But we need a name for him. Let's all put our heads and imaginations together to come up with the best name ever for this little boy who has a long road ahead of him and is such a good brave boy. 😘. And keep sending him healing thoughts and prayers. He's not out of the woods yet. And we still will need surgery in the future.

Well......... Here we go again. I'm sure you guys noticed I don't post very often but when I do it's something wrong. I stay so busy caring for all of the cats and kittens that come into our care that it doesn't leave much time for posting. I'm sure you all understand. Well, here I am again. Mon we got a call about a kitten that had been run over in a driveway. He was rushed to the vets, (VCA veterinary clinic in Edgewater). He has a broken pelvis, hip and leg and they were concerned he might have damage to his bladder. 😞. Poor little thing. He's only about 6 weeks old. Just a little thing to be going through so much. He's a trooper though. We're on a wait and see basis right now but at some point he'll need surgery. First, let's keep him in our prayers and send him good, positive healing vibes. Then we'll cross that surgery bridge. Thank you all for your continued love and support for us and these least souls.

For those of you following Roy Boy progress. We will keep you updated as we go along. He will be going to the vet to see what all we can do to help him. Meanwhile he's safe and as comfortable as he can be for now. Several of you have asked how you can help. Well here's some options for you. We always need canned food. Any kind any flavor we can use. We go through a lot of canned food. And Roy Boy is basically just eating canned. We also need volunteers. Not just for fostering but for help around the cat house too. I also have zelle if anyone wants to donate monetarily. It's through my phone number. 386-314-1384. I really appreciate all your kind words for us and especially for Roy Boy. He needs all the good vibes, love and prayers you can send.

We come to you with yet another story of a rescue. I'm sure by now most of you know I don't give up easy when there's a cat in need. And today was another of those rescues. Crazy as the last couple of months have been with all the kittens we've taken in and how many were sick and injured which creates a lot of work. Administering meds daily, special diets, vet visits. It's neverending. You think it can't get any busier..... And then the next call comes in, one of those calls that you can't ignore. A cat needs help now or it may not make it. And the call for help comes in just when you have a million other things to do. Giving meds, feeding colony cats.......at 6 in the evening. The cat was just laying under a tree. Easy I think, but no. He took off when I approached. Into the neighbors yard under some thick palmettos. Have you ever crawled through palmettos? Well as of today I have and I'll tell you they hurt😏. They don't call them Saw palmettos for nothing. I came out bloody but ran him out of there and then under a bougainvillea 🥹. Well we flushed him out of there and low and behold I caught him with my net. Poor guy has a bad case of scabies. But we'll treat him with meds and get some weight back on him and hopefully it's not to late. Please send positive vibes and healing to Roy Boy. He needs our help and you're good thoughts. ❤️
I feel he's been homeless his whole life and probably never has known love, safety and compassion. Let's all keep Roy Boy in our thoughts and heart for a speedy recovery.
