🐾 Day 14 with Clark 🐾
In so many ways, Clark reminds us of Foxtrot when he first arrived.
When Clark comes inside from the yard, he runs straight to his kennel like his life depends on it. It's his safe place, and that's okay. These breeder release dogs have spent their lives learning a very different world than most family pets, and it takes time for them to realize they're finally safe.
At just 10 months old, Clark is a stunning Shiba Inu with so much potential. He loves playing with the other dogs and is a quiet, easy companion to have around the house. He's crate trained, potty trained, and has shown nothing but a gentle temperament. When he's nervous, he freezes rather than reacts. Even when 8-pound Mia steals his bone, climbs into his crate, or helps herself to his food bowl, Clark simply lets it happen.
Unlike Foxtrot, Clark already comes inside when called and doesn't seem to have any interest in testing the fence line or planning an escape route 🤣. He's even started lounging on the couch... just at the opposite end for now.
Every day we see little signs of progress. A little more confidence. A little more trust. A little more curiosity about the world around him.
Clark is going to be an absolutely wonderful dog for a patient family willing to let him move at his own pace. The best things about these dogs aren't discovered in the first week—they're earned through trust, consistency, and love.
If you're a Shiba lover looking for a truly special companion, Clark may be your guy.
Please share with your Shiba-loving friends and help us find this handsome boy the forever home he deserves. ❤️🐾
